Hank Azaria stands out as one of Hollywood’s entertainment elites with unusual talents. Hank Azaria’s Biography (Age)

The Simpson’s voice actor was born Henry Albert Azaria in Queens, New York, on April 25, 1964, to Ruth (nee Altcheck) Azaria, a former publicist/film promoter for Colombia Pictures and Albert Azaria, a businessman who works in a garment industry. The two are also parents to Hank’s older sisters Elise and Stephanie Azaria.

The actor began showing serious interest in show business in his younger years. At the time, he used to memorize and mimic the scripts of the stand-up comedy routines, television shows, and films his mother used to promote. Upon getting to high school age, his parents sent him to The Kew-Forest School in Forest Hills, where he performed in school plays at the expense of his academics and eventually made up his mind to pursue a career in acting.

Due to his parents’ love for all forms of show business, they approved their son’s decision to study drama at Tufts University. Azaria started his college education in 1981 and later met and became friends with Windsor, Canada-born actor Oliver Platt, who co-starred with him in various stage productions. After his graduation in 1985, the actor enrolled at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts to hone his acting skills. He scored his debut acting job at the age of seventeen as an advertiser for an Italian television. Azaria later moved to Los Angeles after he was offered a job by talent agent Harry Gold.

Ethnicity

Hanks is an American by nationality and belongs to Sephardic Jewish descent. His parents are of Eastern Sephardic Jewish ancestry while his grandparents on both sides are from Thessaloniki, a Spanish Jewish community in Greece. They are said to have migrated to the United States of America in the early 20th century. As gathered, his family speaks the Ladino language at home. The comedian described the Ladino language as “a strange, antiquated Spanish dialect written in Hebrew characters.”

Hank was formerly married to actress Helen Hunt. The pair began dating in 1994 and eventually tied the knot on July 17, 1999, in a traditional Jewish ceremony in Southern California. Hunt and Azaria finalized their divorce on 18th December 2000. The actor has also been linked to actress Julie Warner, who he reportedly dated in the early 1990s.
