This film and TV star was born Ian Stuart Bohen on the 24th day of September in the year 1976. He was born and raised in Carmel-by-the-Sea, a city in Monterey County, California. Information about his parents, his upbringing and his early education are pretty scarce. However, we are in the know that he has an older brother. He is also known to have begun his acting career in the early 90s when he was still a teenager.

Ian Bohen marked his acting debut in the short film Delivering (1993) in which he played the role of Jimmy Wakefield. His next film role was in the Oscar-nominated biopic Wyatt Earp (1994) after which he appeared in the horror-themed musical film Monster Mash (1995). He also portrayed the titular character in the TV pilot Young Hercules (1998).

Bohen had a small role in the highly successful action film Pearl Harbor (2001) starring alongside a star-studded cast which included , , and . He also had roles in the Sci-Fi comedy flick Special (2006) as well as the musical comedy Marigold (2007). The talented actor then appeared in the thriller film Irreversi (2010), the English version of the Mandarin-language film Hui lu.

Ian Bohen played the role of a cop in third Batman film The Dark Knight Rises (2012) which was a box-office monster. More recently, he has featured in crime films like Wind River (2017) and Sicario: Day of the Soldado (2018) as well as the drama film Little Women (2018).

The talented actor landed his first recurring role as Young Hercules on the action TV series Hercules: The Legendary Journeys (1997-98). He reprised the role of Young Hercules in the pilot movie of a spin-off series Young Hercules (1998), however, he was replaced by in the lead role because he chose not to relocate to New Zealand where the series was filmed.

Bohen got his next regular role on the series Any Day Now (1998-2001) in which he portrayed the recurring character, Johnny O’Brien. He guest-starred on different series afterward including Cold Case (2004), Prison Break (2009), CSI: Miami (2010) and Drop Dead Diva (2011). Also in 2011, he landed the recurring role of Peter Hale on the supernatural teen series Teen Wolf (2011-17). The role can be said to have cemented Bohen’s status as an A-list television star.

Following his brilliant performance in Teen Wolf, Bohen has gotten much more screen time on other TV shows. He played the recurring role of Daniel Dunn in the series Breakout Kings (2012), he appeared briefly in the crime series Major Crimes (2012) starring as Daniel Dunn and he portrayed the recurring character Sergeant Edwin Stillwell on NBC’s crime-action series Chicago P.D. (2014). More recently, he got cast in the drama series Yellowstone (2018-present) in which he portrays the recurring character Ryan, a Cowboy wrangler.
