It is very possible those hideous creatures could have caused sleepless nights and even nightmares for many anti-horror persons who came across them accidentally in a movie. However, it is a fact that Hetrick’s makeup effects are also quite unique and seeing as he devoted a whole lot of time to the art which has eventually turned him into one of the best makeup effect artists in the Hollywood Industry over the years.

Biography

The talented Glenn Hetrick was born July 8, 1972, and he is said to be a native of Hellertown, Pennsylvania. His love for creating things began during his childhood days when played with clay a lot. Hetrick is a graduate of York College, Pennslyvania where he took only theatre arts classes. In pursuit of his dreams, he went to Hollywood in 1998 and was employed by Optic Nerve Studios but left for four years to work on his own. Upon his return and with the assistance of his friend Neville Page, they revamped the studio in 2016 and renamed it Hetrick & Page Alchemy Studios. It later came to be simply known as Alchemy Studios and they offer vast services with high digital technology.

During his days as an Independent Contractor, Hetrick’s recorded works appeared in films like Blade II (2002), the 2003 DC Comic The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, The Chronicles of Riddick in 2004 and the television sitcom Medical Examiners which aired between 2004-2007. He got nominated alongside Neil in 2016 for his work in the film The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 which was his first nomination for his work so far and was followed by several other nominations. There is, therefore, no doubt that Hetrick was indeed doing a good job as the film offers and nominations were proof of his hard work. He also landed a job with the singer as her Costume Designer.

Glenn Hetrick is also known as a contestant of the reality show Face Off which is centered on Makeup. He did not win at the time, but he would later become a judge on the show from 2011 till present with his fellow colleagues from Star Trek Michael Westmore, Neville Page, and Ve Neill.

Being around movie sets so much, it was not a surprise when the talented artist chose to try his hands on acting. He had nurtured the dream of becoming an actor and being on the screen rather than behind the scenes. He attended a series of auditions looking for roles in movies. He eventually got the opportunity to make guest appearances in the sitcoms The Shield, Committed, Charmed, Scrubs, and Heroes.

It is said that the pair got together as a result of their interests in the same things and after dating for a while, Glenn Hetrick popped the question on a bridge and Michelle who was swept off her feet said Yes!.

Hetrick and Michelle got married on 13 May 2017 at The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa, Riverside, California. Sources have it that the lovebirds wanted to go for a romantic honeymoon in Italy but due to work demands they never made it. However, in spite of the lack of honeymoon, the pair maintained the sweetness in their union as they celebrated one year of marital bliss in 2018. Michelle took to her Instagram page to express her never-ending love for the man she married a year ago.
