Jac Collinsworth has been having a wonderful time in the limelight ever since he broke into mainstream success. Born into a family with a rich history in sports, it’s no surprise that he inherited some athletic genes from his dad, who was also a prominent sportsman during his active years in football.

Jac Collinsworth Bio

The sportscaster was born to American parents in the early 1990s in Fort Thomas, Kentucky, near Cincinnati. He was raised in the United States along with his siblings.

He attended a Kentucky-based semi-private secondary school called Highlands High School. While he was there, he was part of his school’s football team but was forced to end his career as a result of a horrific back injury. Unfazed by the development, Jac decided to take full advantage of his schools standard broadcast facilities. He started out by creating videos, producing and taking time to edit them.

After passing out with good grades, Collinsworth was admitted at the University of Notre Dame to study Film, Television, and Theatre. He graduated with a bachelors degree in the month of May 2017 after completing his studies.

Jac Collinsworth started working with ESPN in the year 2017, precisely in the month of August. He was saddled with the responsibilities of giving an insight into the profiles of NFL coaches and players, as well as reporting other fascinating stories. He mainly takes a critical look at how athletes relate with one another, what their interest and hobbies are, and the kind of person they are.

As a feature reporter for the Sunday NFL Countdown crew, the Highlands graduate also contributes to NFL Live when the league is not in season.

His Family

Jac Collinsworth is the youngest child in a family of four. The names of his siblings are Austin Collinsworth (brother), Katie Collinsworth (sister), and Ashley Collinsworth (sister). They were all born by Holly Bankemper (mother) and (father).

Cris is a retired professional footballer who represented Cincinnati Bengals as a wide receiver from 1981 to 1988. A proud winner of 15 Sports Emmy Awards, Jac’s father now works as a sportscaster for NFL Network, Showtime, and NBC.

Cris’ wife is a practicing attorney and a member of the Cincinnati Bar Association. Born on November 23, 1964, she got married to Collinsworth in 1989. She is proud of her husband and children even though she rarely makes public appearances with them.

Austin was a starting safety for Notre Dame football team before he ended his career due to injuries. Currently, he works in the greater L.A. area as Xsolla Capital’s director of development.
