Jarvis Landry is a Cleveland Browns wide receiver. He has held out his career appearing in almost every game since he became a professional player. His consistency in his gameplay has most certainly been the major contributor to the success he enjoys on the field, a success which has translated into financial rewards as Landry is ranked the sixth highest paid receiver in the National Football League (NFL).

Jarvis Landry’s Bio and Early Life

Jarvis Charles Landry was born on the 28th of November 1992 in Convent, Louisiana with the star sign is Sagittarius. Jarvis was athletic even as a very little boy and had an elder brother, Gerard, who was a wide receiver and played for the Louisiana State University. Jarvis attended Lutcher High School and was active in sports which earned him several awards. After high school, he attended the Louisiana State University and played for the Louisiana Tigers. He is 5 ft 11 inches tall and has colored hair which obviously from tinting.

As a rookie in college, he played 14 games and in his second year, he played 13 games and led his team with 56 receptions, 5 touchdowns and received 573 yards. In his junior year, Jarvis had 520 receiving yards and seven touchdowns in total ending the season with 77 reception for 1,193 yards and 10 touchdowns.

He declared for the 2014 NFL Draft after forgoing his senior year in college and was drafted by the Miami Dolphins as the 12th receiver. In his first game, he had 758 receiving yards and five touchdowns. In the 2015 NFL season, he had received 69 yards in 10 seconds and set a new record for most receptions in a season. He earned himself the 2016 Pro Bowl and was ranked the 98th player on the list of top 100 players of 2016. Jarvis’ performance in the game was remarkable, marking his fame as a wide receiver. He not only broke old records but caught 94 passes for 1136 yards and four touchdowns and 100 yards. He was ranked 42nd on the NFL top 100 players of 2017.

In 2017, Landry began with 13 receptions for 78 yards which equaled the record of receptions in a single game which was held by in a standout performance earlier in the same season. And although Jarvis’ team lost that match, he finished the season with the most receptions.

Jarvis Landry has a cousin who is very popular in the game of American football and he is none other than Glenn Jamon Dorsey. Glenn is currently a free agent but had played for the Louisiana State University – the same school where Jarvis played his collegiate football. During his days at LSU, Glenn Dorsey earned the Defensive Player of the Year award in the 2007 season and was also awarded the All America honor twice in a row among many other accolades.

 

Jarvis Landry is not married but the Cleveland Browns wide receiver has a daughter with his longtime girlfriend, Estrella Cerqueira. The baby was born in December 2017. Jarvis was almost charged with a case of domestic violence and battery when the police were informed by an unknown caller that he was assaulting his girlfriend but Estrella came up and told the police that showed up in their house that it was only a vocal disagreement” and nothing more.

His girlfriend mentioned in a statement she released to debunk the rumors of battery swirling around Jarvis that they were “happily raising their daughter” before almost contradicting herself by mentioning that there was a pending court case regarding the custody of their daughter which raised eyebrows about the actual state of things in their home.

Jarvis Landry’s five-year contract with the Cleveland Browns which he signed after he was traded by the Miami Dolphins on March 8, 2014, was worth 75.5 million making him the sixth highest paid wide receiver in the NFL.
