Jayron Kearse started playing football from high school. He attended Cypress Lake High School where he played mostly as the team’s quarterback for three years. As a fresher, Kearse played defense before switching to the offensive side and recorded 1,600 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns.
He then moved to South Fort Myers High School in his senior years in January 2012 and there, he played as wide receiver, running back and as a safety. In 2014, Kearse started 12 of 13 games and registered 67 tackles, three sacks with three sacks, as a sophomore. By 2016, he announced his decision to forgo his senior season to join the NFL draft.
