Sportscasting business has mostly been known to be a world dominated by men but many women are defying the odds and going on to make names for themselves as sportscasters. Jill Arrington is one of such women on the rise to becoming a sportscasting legend.
Arrington is a popular TV host, reporter, and sportscaster of American descent. She started her career on Fox SportsNet and Fox Sports 1 as an anchor. The talented sportscaster was born in Rockdale County, Conyers to be precise, in Georgia, United States of America. Born on July 27, 1972, she was christened Tiffany Arrington. Jill was raised alongside her sister, Heather Joy Arrington, by their parents Mary Jane Odum and Rick Arrington. Her paternal grandparents were Hazel and Richard Arrington. The TV personality is of white ethnicity and has an American nationality.
There are no official records detailing where she had both her elementary and high school education. Jill was admitted into the prestigious University of Miami, graduating in 1994 with a Broadcast Journalism degree having majored in both Political Science and Journalism. During her days in the university, she was a member of the school’s tennis team and a member of the Delta Gamma sorority.
The American-born sportscaster ventured into the world of broadcasting as a producer on Main Floor which was a national entertainment show at the time. After spending five years on Main Floor, Arrington worked for a year producing a popular reality TV show known as Real TV.
The sportscaster made her grand entrance into the sports scene reporting stories centered on women’s tennis for FOX Sports and FOX NFL. She co-hosted a season for the show NFL Under the Helmet which was aired on FOX Sports. Jill Arrington also worked for Arena Football as host for its league pregame show and on Arena Football game as a sideline reporter for three consecutive seasons. She also worked as a sideline reporter for US Open Tennis Championships and on Southeastern Conference College Football competition.
Arrington was a feature and sideline reporter for ESPN College Gameday and Primetime games. In 2010, she returned to sportscasting after taking some years off to take care of her daughter. She hosted a number of shows on FOX Sports after her return. Some of the shows include Totally NASCAR, NFL Online OT, FoxSportsFlash, America’s Pregame and College Football Saturday Preview.
Jill is currently a sports anchor for KCBS-TV 2 and KCAL-9 based in Los Angeles California. Nike and Zima recently gave Jill Arrington endorsements deals for advertisement and promotional purposes. The sportscaster has also done some other TV gigs including a voice-over for Madden NFL 2005.

The Georgia native was born to Mary Jane Odum and Rick Arrington. Rick was an American football player who plied his trade for Philadelphia Eagles as a quarterback. Heather was born on July 1, 1967, in Georgia U.S.A.
