YouTube has continued to introduce great talents who would otherwise have been limited in their scope of influence and popularity without the help of the video-sharing website. The beautiful part of it is that it’s not limited in scope in terms of what to expect as more and more skills are being developed therein and celebrities produced in their numbers. I think the foremost requirement to be a member of the community is to be yourself and be willing to share what you do with the teeming watchers who would be more than willing to be your audience, not forgetting to always strive to make your trade better by the day. One of such rare talents that have only made us fall in love with him every time we click on his channel is the avid gamer, Jirard Khalil, host of the YouTube review gaming shows The Completionist.
Jirard also co-hosts the Super Beard Bros. He completes one game per week and reviews the game on his channel, ranging from casual games to hardcore games. Here are all the things you’ve always wanted to know about this super cool gamer.
Jirard Khalil’s Bio, Age
The Completionist’s originator was born on the 3rd day of January 1988, in California. He is the youngest of the five children born to Charles and Kareen (died in 2013) Khalil. His siblings include a brother, Jacque, and sisters, Leila, Monika, and Kellee. Jirard graduated from the California State University, Fullerton in 2011 with a Double Major in Radio, Television, Film-BA / General degree of Theatrical Arts – BA.
He grew up in a family where hand-me-down existed, thus, he inherited his brother’s Nintendo Entertainment System and a library of games. Being limited to only the games he inherited, he was unable to play anything new which prompted him to complete the same games repeatedly. He became so used to them that over time, he learned every secret and scoured every possible location therein. Thus, his obsession with completing games began and would eventually progress to his YouTube review show, The Completionist. The show is built around this concept: to complete a game 100% and give a rating on the overall game and whether or not it is worth completing 100%.
The earliest game he completed was Super Mario Bros, and eventually, he was able to get new games everytime he completed one. However, that did not become possible (getting new games) until he got Donkey Kong Country 2 and completed the game. The game which was like his key to the endless opportunities that abound in the world of video games became his favourite game of all time.
Jirard Khalil does not only play and review video games but also acts and writes. He is known for Continue? (2009), and JonTron (2010). He also runs his own production company One Video Entertainment LLC. which represents the work he does on his web series.
Among the many features that distinguish the avid gamer from others is his large beard which he often uses as part of his show. Most times, he shaves it off for charity or as part of a gag on the show. A let’s play channel, which he co-hosts with his friend Alex Faciane is even named after his large mane as Super Beard Bros.
The Completionist
The Completionist is a platform where he does full reviews of different games he has fully completed and he releases these reviews weekly, every Friday. These games range from the relatively easy ones such as Megaman to the absurdly impossible-to-complete games such as Skyrim. He began working on the show in September 2011 with the first episode of the game, Mega Man X.
On the series, That One Video Gamer, which is streamed on his channel, Jirard Khalil plays games at the request of the fans, analyzing all aspects of the game. Therein also, he discusses all the gameplay, the presentation, the plot, as well as focus on what bonuses are given when completing the games. He also reviews details of how many hours it took him to finish and the total collectibles obtained.
However, the episodes end with a general score which places the game on the pedestal of whether it is 100% worth completing or not. The scores range from Complete it, Finish it, Play it, Look at it, or Donate it.
