Joanna Gaines is a reality TV star who from 2013 to 2018 was on the reality show Fixer Upper which she began with her husband, Chip Gaines. Much more than just that, she is also a businesswoman who co-founded various businesses under the Magnolia brand with her husband. While she keeps achieving a lot in her professional life, she is ensuring also that her family life does not suffer as she is a good mother to her five children.

It was on the 19th of April 1978 in Kansas that Joanna Gaines was born to a father who was part German and part Lebanese and a mother who was Korean. Her father operated an automobile workshop where she goes to help him.

She was brought up in the state of Texas where she got her high school education. After she was through, she moved to Baylor University in Waco, Texas from where she later graduated with a Degree in communication.

Joanna did not grow up wanting to be a designer. Instead, it was after she moved to New York for her internship program that she was first inspired into it. Before then, all she was interested in was just to become a broadcast journalist.

Without a clear idea of how to start, she later met a man named Chip Carter Gaines when he came to Firestone Tire store which belonged to her father in Waco. She went on to Marry Chip with whom she later started many businesses that come to make up the Magnolia Empire.

While Joanna Gaines was always a hardworking and creative woman, Chip Gaines was raised with an entrepreneurial spirit. He began many businesses in the past and so he was able to always have creative solutions for every idea his wife comes up with which always ends up as yet another business.

As already stated, the first time that chip met the woman that later became his wife was in her father’s tire store. At first, however, he did not meet her in person but on a family picture her father had put behind the counter. Immediately he saw the picture, Chip was certain she was the girl he was going to end up with.

The irony is that both of them went to the same college, Baylor University, but their paths never crossed while they were there. But then, long after he saw her picture and knew she was the one, a faulty brake would bring him back to the store where he met her in person. The moment she saw him in 2001 for the first time, she also loved him because she believed immediately that she could trust him.

They got married in 2003 and have since then, remained very happy.

Just as many celebrity marriages suffer the speculations and rumors of divorce, their marriage was not spared and the rumor was sparked a few years ago after Chip went to Mexico for a program and left Joanna in charge of their businesses. Since then, nothing has been heard in that regards.
