John Terry is a retired English football player who played almost his entire career for the premier league side Chelsea. Upon leaving Chelsea in 2017, Terry played briefly for Aston Villa before starting his coaching career at the club in October 2018 as an assistant coach. John Terry played as a center back and was revered for his aggressive defensive as well as his leadership skills. He scored 41 goals for the side making him the club’s highest scoring defender of all time. Terry made over 700 appearances for the team and was captain for the most part of his stay. He is the most successful captain in the club’s history having led the team to a whopping 5 premier league titles. John Terry’s Biography

John George Terry was born on the 7th of December 1980 in Barking, London. Terry began playing football during his time at Eastbury Comprehensive School. He played for local Sunday league team Senrab before moving to West Ham’s youth system at the age of 11 and Chelsea’s at the age of 14.

Terry originally played in the midfield position but was moved to the central defense position following a dearth of defensive players. At the age of 17, John Terry signed a professional contract with Chelsea’s Youth Training Scheme. He made his first appearance for Chelsea at the age of 18 as a substitute in a League Cup match against Aston Villa. He got his start the following season in an FA Cup match against Oldham Athletic.

John Terry was then briefly loaned to Nottingham Forrest in 2000 to earn first-team experience. When he returned from the loan, Terry immediately took Chelsea by storm and was voted Chelsea’s Player of the Year in the 2000/2001 season.

Terry first got the captain armband under the tutelage of Claudio Ranieri. New manager, upon his arrival made Terry the captain of the team. Terry led the side to the league title in record-breaking fashion in the 2004/2005 season and successfully defended it the following season.

In addition to his very successful club career at Chelsea, John Terry also excelled for the England national side which he also captained, succeeding David Beckham. John Terry made 78 appearances for the English national side scoring 6 goals. He brought his international career to an end in September 2012 and his illustrious career at Chelsea to an end in May 2017. He joined Championship side Aston Villa on a free transfer in July 2017. He left the side in May 2018 and on the 7th of October 2018 officially retired from football.

The hashtag John Terry’s mum trended on Twitter alongside the video. Lisa later came forth to clarify that she was the one in the video and not Terry’s mum. At the time when the video leaked, Terry’s mum was vacationing in Portugal. Sue Terry who was born in 1959 and lives next to her son Terry in the upscale part of Surrey, England.

Wife, Affairs, and Relationships

John Terry has been married to his wife Toni Terry (née Poole), his childhood sweetheart since 2007. Their marriage was the center of much attention in 2009 when reports surfaced that Terry had allegedly engaged in an extramarital affair with a certain Vanessa Perroncel, the ex-girlfriend of his Chelsea and England teammate Wayne Bridge.

The tabloids covered the allegations extensively leading to the then Chelsea manager Fabio Capello to strip Terry of his captaincy replacing him with fellow defender Rio Ferdinand. Perroncel maintained that the affair never took place. Several news outlets would later print apologies to Perroncel for false accusations. Though the alleged affair has been largely said never to have happened, the story has somewhat plagued Terry throughout his career.

Terry and his wife Toni have remained happily married and are blessed with twin kids, a son and a daughter named Summer and Georgie. Toni has been Terry’s ride-or-die and has been with him from the time he was earning a meager £48 as a Chelsea apprentice.
