The name Jon Paul Steuer has long disappeared from the entertainment scene, however, the former child actor and musician will always be remembered for the notable roles he played in movies and television series. Best among his numerous exploits is his portrayal of the character of Alexander Rozhenko on the set of Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Jon Paul’s recurring role in Grace Under Fire (ABC show) made him the first to play the role of Quentin Kelly on a regular basis. Another notable role he will be remembered for is his Johnny “Viper” Vennaro character in Little Giants – a 1994 kiddie’s comedy movie. The young talent also tried his hands at music and later moved to hospitality, co-owning a restaurant with Chef Sean Sigmon in Portland, Oregon. Unfortunately, he met his early demise in his prime.
Jon Paul Steuer – Biography
The bundle of talent that is Jon Paul Steuer was born on the 27th of March 1984 in the United States of America, Escondido, California to be precise. He attended Crested Butte Community School. Jon Paul was just three when he gave voice to his desire to join the entertainment industry as an actor. Inasmuch as few details are known about his parents and siblings, it was his mum who took him for enrollment in local shopping malls for kiddies modelling shows.
Fortunately for the aspiring entertainer, there was a chanced occurrence where one of the performing kids failed to show up for his role, Jon Paul quickly leapt into the opening and thus, showcased his acting prowess on stage. He was so good that he caught the attention of a talent agent who wasted no time in approaching his mum with an offer. Within the space of one year, the budding actor earned several minor roles on television shows, as well as a few guest starring roles.
It became glaring that Jon Paul Steuer was a natural at entertainment when he made his acting debut at the tender age of 4. Born and raised in California, Escondido, the young talent made his first acting appearance in Day by Day – a 1988 TV series which cast him as the character of Scotty Gilbert. 1987 saw him appear in Star Trek: The Next Generation, originating the character of Alexander Rozhenko who was depicted as the son of Worf.
Almost five years after, Jon Paul Steuer bagged his co-starring role in When Love Kills: The Seduction of John Hearn – a 1993 made-for-TV movie, with him portraying the role of Travis Hearn. Although he left the acting scene early, he recorded a plethora of notable production before taking a bow at the age of 12 in 2003. Notable among his feature film appearances are Late for Dinner released in 1991, his 1993 role on the set of Amityville: A New Generation and the next year, he joined the cast of Little Giants – a Warner Bros movie by production.
Jon Paul Steuer played hard as he worked hard; he enjoyed a lot of sports with ice hockey as one of his favourites. He was equally good at roller-blade hockey, computer games, snowboarding, as well as reading and skiing. He appeared to be very close to his parents as he enjoyed camping activities with them from time to time. He was obviously an animal lover and had a couple of family pets, a rabbit called Robbi and a dog named Texaco.
Jon Paul rechanneled his talent to music when he moved to Denver, Colorado in 2003. His Death and Cause of Death
Guns have been claiming many lives not only by murder but also by accident or even suicide. Jon Paul Steuer died by the gun on the first day of January 2018 and his death has been ruled as suicide.
His case was a self-inflicted gunshot injury which happened in Portland, Oregon. The talented performer and restaurateur was just 33 at the time of his demise which necessitated the closing of his restaurant. Upon his death, his punk bandmates from P.R.O.B.L.E.M.S wasted no time in declaring the heartbreaking news on their Facebook page.
