Jonathan Harris, popularly known as Jonny Harris, is an award-winning Canadian comedian, actor, television producer, event host, as well as a screenwriter. Jonny Harris was born into the Harris family on September 22, 1975, in Pouch Cove, Newfoundland in Canada. He has three older siblings – all of them are sisters. Jonny rarely mentions anything about his family, growing up years, or his siblings.

Jonny started off his acting career and training by working for about 5 years at the Rising Tide Theater Festival in Trinity Bay, Newfoundland, Canada. The very valuable experiences he garnered here prepared him for the next phase of his life and gave him a sure footing to forge ahead in his chosen career. After this, he started featuring in both television shows and movies, taking on small roles to cut his teeth in the industry.

Jonny is also a comedian and has performed at various comedy shows and events such as the Halifax Comedy Festival, Just For Laughs comedy festival, Canada’s famed Winnipeg comedy festival and others; he has also featured on a comedy programme called The Debaters on CBC Radio.

Jonny is a multi-talented artist and individual who has hosted very prestigious events. In March 2018, he co-hosted (alongside Emma Hunter) the 6th Canadian Screen Awards televised live all over Canada; this annual award was set up to honour the incredible talents gracing Canadian movies, television shows and other digital media through which entertainment content is shared.
