Is Josh Gad Gay? Wife, Daughter, Family

Josh’s character, Le Fou was the first openly gay character for the live-action version of the film, Beauty and the Beast. The subtle but incredibly effective scene in the film became a topic of discussion following its finale. However, Josh said that there was nothing in the script that suggests that his character is gay. The film director after he alluded to a nice, exclusively gay moment in a Disney movie said that the character’s sexuality has been a little overstated.

Le Fou’s emotional complexity was one of the most important things for Josh but he noted that instead of focusing solely on that, the audience should rather see the other moments in the film worthy of discussion. One of such is the idea of not judging a book by its cover.

Josh was born to a realtor mother. His stepfather is an investment advisor and he grew up alongside his two brothers and a stepsister. He was raised Jewish as having a Jewish immigrant father from Afghanistan and an Ashkenazi Jewish descent mother born in Germany facilitated that.

The funnyman, Josh is definitely not gay and has been married since May 10, 2008, to his sweetheart, actress . Not only is he married, he is also a loving father of not just one but the two lovely daughters he shares with his wife. Their first, Ava Tanya was born in January 2011 and Isabel Eve who shares the same birth month with her father came three years later on February 17, 2014.

Josh Gad is so smitten with his daughters that he wouldn’t mind flying for over 22 hours just to spend a moment with his little ones. And a Disney birthday for his daughter, Isabelle is not out of the equation.
