Josh Jackson is a pro-American basketball shooting guard/small forward player associated with the Pheonix Suns of the NBA. The shooting guard was born Joshua O’Neal Jackson on 10th February 1997 in San Diego, California. His mother, Apple Jones is a black-American and she served in the US Navy. There’s no information about his biological father, but he was raised by his stepfather Clarence Jones. Josh inherited his wonderful skills from his mom; she played basketball while at the University of Texas. Jackson’s stepfather is also a basketball player and he passed away in 2014 while he was participating in a tournament in Las Vegas.

Coming from an athletic background, Jackson also developed a passion for basketball right from a very young age. He went to College Prep School situated in Detroit, Michigan where played basketball for two seasons before transferring to Justin-Siena High School for the remaining two seasons of his high school career.

During his high school career, Josh won the McDonald’s All-American game MVP and was named to the McDonald’s All-American team in 2016. He also participated in the Nike Hoop Summit in the same year. At the end of his high school career, Josh got a five-star college prospect rating from top sports websites.

Jackson further enrolled at the Kansas University for his college career. Without a doubt, he is one of the most decorated freshmen in Kansas Basketball history. He finished the season with a record of 7.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 16.3 points per game. At the end of the season, he was selected to the Freshman All American team, First team All-Big 12, All-American Third team, and All-American Second Team. He equally won the Big 12 Freshman of the Year while forgoing the remaining three seasons of his college career in order to join the 2017 NBA draft.

NBA Career

Jackson was listed among the top prospects of the 2017 draft and he made an impressive performance during the NBA combine drills. However, during the draft, he was picked by the Phoenix Suns in the first round of the draft. He was the fourth player to be selected behind , , and .

After signing up with the Suns in July 2017, Josh Jackson made his first appearance for the Suns in the NBA Summer League where he averaged 9.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 17.4 points per game. Following his excellent performance, Jackson was named to the All-SUmmer Lague First Team that year. The player further made his first NBA appearance against the Los Angeles Clippers on October 18, 2017.

Furthermore, Jackson made an offensive hand sign towards the fans of their opponent which later cost him a fine of $35,000. He recorded 17 points in their victory over Oklahoma City Thunder in January 2018. On the event of his 21st birthday, Jackson played the best game in his rookie season; thus finishing with a total of seven rebounds, five assists, and 20 points against Denver Nuggets. At the end of the 2017/18 season, Josh Jackson notched an average of 4.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 13.1 points per game; while being named to the All-Rookie Second Team for his wonderful performance.

Kysre came from an athletic family; her father played basketball professionally for the Phoenix Suns from 1986 to 1998 while her mother played for Louisiana Tech. Her younger sister, Kalabrya also plays college basketball at Michigan State University.
