Justine Karain Bio (Age)
On the 19th of December, 1986, in Houston, Texas, United States, Justine Karain was born to Munther and Janet Kessler Karain. While details about her parents and family are not clear, it is said that she comes from a wealthy family background.
Just as details about her family are not available, it is also not known where she received her early education. However, Karain is known to have been an athlete right from her time at Klein Forest High School. In high school, she was an incredible swimmer and soccer player, who also occasionally played golf, promoting and helping the creation of a women’s golf team. She later went on to attend Louisiana State University and Our Lady of the Lake College in Los Angeles where she completed the requirements for two Bachelor’s degrees; Nursing from the first institution and Health Service Administration from the second.
Justine Karain first met her husband Patrick Reed at Augusta State University where he had transferred to from the University of Georgia. The couple dated for a while before Reed proposed to her on the 9th of January, 2012; the same night in which their beloved Louisiana State University football team was playing in the national title game. They later exchanged marital vows a few months later, on the 21st of December, 2012. It was at this time that she decided to leave nursing to work as a caddie in order to stay close to her man.
Karain worked as a caddie for her husband for two years before leaving the role due to her pregnancy. The couple went on to welcome their first child together, a daughter named Windsor Wells, born on the 22nd of May, 2014. Three years after that, they added another member to their family, a son named Barrett Benjamin, born on the 6th of December, 2017.
Other Facts about Patrick Reed’s Wife
She Is Not Close To Her In-Laws
While Justine Karain’s parents are very close to her and her husband, often accompanying him on tour, Reed’s parents are estranged from the couple, as they were not even invited to the wedding.
According to reports, the feud came about after Reed’s parents objected to their son marrying Karain who is four years older than him. They reportedly felt that the couple and their son, in particular, were at the time too young to become legally bound. Another report further says that the dislike of Karain by Reed’s parents comes from her social media posts about them mentally and physically abusing the golfer. She reportedly said that they only viewed him as their “meal ticket”.
Her Brother Took Over as Caddie for her Husband
As mentioned earlier, Justine Karain stopped working as her husband’s caddie after she became pregnant. The position vacated by the former high school athlete was then filled by her brother Kessler Karain who had no experience in the role. Kessler reportedly left his job in medical sales to take on the role which he enjoyed and learned more about along the way. He has since overseen his brother-in-law’s first major win at the 2018 Masters Tournament where Reed had the chance to become the first player in the history of the tournament to post four rounds in the 60s, but however, managed a score of 71.
Standing side by side with her husband who is about 6 feet (1.83m) tall, you can tell that Justine Karain is not the tallest person you would ever meet, as she has a height of 5 feet 1 inch, which is shorter than the height of the average American woman which is 5 feet 4 inches (162.5 cm). Her weight and other body measurements are not known.
Salary and Net Worth
Seeing that Justine Karain once worked as a nurse, she probably took home close to $70,000 per year, which is the average annual salary of a nurse. After abandoning her nursing career to work as a caddie for her husband, it is speculated that she earned around $2,000 per week, which is also the average salary of a caddie. From all this, it is obvious that Karain is doing her well for herself, although the exact amount of her net worth has not yet been calculated. Her husband, on the other hand, has an estimated net worth of around $9 million.
