American professional wrestler Chad Allegra with ring name Karl Anderson is one of such people. Through dedication and hard work, Karl has endeared himself to WWE fans all over the world.
His Biography
The American professional wrestler, Chad Allegra, who is known by his ring name Karl Anderson was born on the 20th day of January 1980. He grew up alongside his younger brother as the two were raised in Asheville, North Carolina by his mother. Karl was lucky enough to receive a baseball scholarship that would have seen him through college in his home state but he couldn’t complete his studies at Mars Hill College. He dropped out because he was more interested in pursuing a career in wrestling.
Karl moved to Cincinnati, Ohio and commenced wrestling training immediately at Les Thatcher main event Pro Wrestling Camp, a school associated with the Heartland Wrestling Association (HWA) but he stayed with them for a short time because almost immediately after the commencement of his training with Les Thatcher in 2000, he received a big blow from a fellow trainee Derek Neikirk which resulted in a concussion and eventually put Karl out on the shelf for a little more than a year. When he had recovered enough to return to training, Kirk Sheppard who was with the Northern Wrestling Federation (NWF) in Cincinnati introduced him to Roger Ruffen the chief trainer with the Bone crushers (NWF wrestling school), he trained with them for many years.
After his protracted training with NWF wrestling school, Karl made his debut professional match under his real name on the 10th day of May 2002. Unfortunately, he had to concede defeat to his opponent Zodiac. Karl’s second match was with Prince Justice also known as Total Nonstop Action Wrestling’s (TNA) Abyss. Other wrestlers he was matched with during the early days of his career include Jerry Lawler, The Boogie Woogie Man Jimmy Valiant, Shark Boy, and Chris Harris. Karl started his career in the NWF as part of the Young Lions which was made up of four trainees who were contemporaries at the NWF. When one of the Young Lions Matt Parks left, Karl joined him as a heel and eventually started a feud with Jay Donaldson and Ryan Stone. In the year 2005, an inter-promotional feud between the HWA and the NWF culminated in a one on one, title match between Cody Hawk, the HWA champion and Karl, the NWF Champion.
While wrestling at the National Wrestling Alliance’s (NWA) annual convention, Karl was noticed by Dave Marquez of New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s (NJPW) Los Angeles dojo who invited him to come train at the dojo. He started wrestling on the west coast after he lost the NWF title to Ryan Stone on January 1st, 2006. While on the West Coast, Karl was renamed Machine Gun. At this point in his career, Karl became a part of the Anderson wrestling family and took on the family logo spinebuster as his new finishing maneuver. He eventually dropped the association with the Anderson family over the years. Karl won the NWA British Commonwealth Championship but consequently lost it to Alex Koslov. From time to time, Karl pays visits to the Midwest for the purpose of making cameos for Ruffen’s NWF whenever time permits and presently, he is the reigning NWA Heartland States Champion for Ed Chuman’s NWA Midwest.
Since 2007 to date, Karl has competed in several wrestling championships under the patronage of prestigious wrestling teams like the Pro Wrestling Guerilla, (2007–2009), Ring of Honor (2007, 2013) and New Japan’s Pro-Wrestling. While in New Japan, Karl along with Giant Bernard formed a tag team named Bad Intensions. Bad intensions entered the G1 Tag League in 2010 where they had three wins and two losses. Karl left New Japan to return to WWE later in the year when Bad intensions was disbanded. he played for a while with other clubs after his exit from New Japan but on May 6, 2015, he was enlisted as part of the roaster of Global Force Wrestling (GFW).
Family: Wife, Kids
The heavyweight wrestler was raised by his single mother alongside his brother who is younger than him by a few years. Karl Anderson is taciturn about his family, so, there is little or no information on that part of his life. However, we can confirm that he is happily married and his marriage is blessed with three sons but the information on his immediate family is still pending.
Height
Karl stands at a towering height of 6 feet or 1.83 m with a weight of 98 kg to support it. This does not come as a surprise considering his status as a professional wrestler, a profession mostly occupied by eye-popping huge individuals.
