Born Kevin Yanick Steen, Kevin Owens is a professional wrestler of Canadian origin signed to WWE. He performs with the ring name Kevin Owens.

Bio (Age)

Born on the 7^th of May, 1984, he first developed a passion for wrestling at the age of 11 after watching a videotaped match between Shawn Michaels and Diesel at WrestleMania XI. His parents reluctantly allowed him three years later to train with a Quebec based wrestler Serge Jodoin after which he went on to train with Jacques Rougeau.

On the 7^th of May, 2000, his 16th birthday, he had his first professional match in L’Assomption, Quebec. He wrestled for Ring of Honor (ROH), winning the ROH World Championship and ROH World Tag Team Championship. He cut his professional teeth in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG), winning the PWG World Championship three times, as well as the PWG World Tag Team Championship on three occasions.

Kevin Owens joined WWE on August 12, 2014. In December of the same year at the – NXT TakeOver REvolution: Kevin Owens on his debut beat CJ Parker and at the end of the show Kevin Owens attacked the new NXT champion Sami Zayn.

Prior to his joining the big league at WWE, Kevin had spent 14 years fighting independently across Europe and America. During this time, Owens built formidable friendships and partnerships with most of the men with whom he would share WWE Super-stardom including Adrian Neville, Daniel Bryan, Seth Rollins and his closest friend Sami Zayn.

Over the years, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have formed a formidable tag team dating back to their days at the Ring of Honour. They have also enjoyed success after reuniting at WWE. On one occasion Kevin Owens brought him to watch a live WWE match and after the show, he was excited about meeting his idol. Unfortunately, John Cena couldn’t come around to say hi.
