Kofi Siriboe Age and Background Details

Nana-Kofi Siriboe was born on March 2, 1994, in Los Angeles, California. He developed a passion for entertainment as a kid and became a child actor. And like most child actors, Kofi started his career by doing commercials, appearing in both TV and print commercials. By the age of 9, Kofi made his screen debut in a short film titled Strange & Charmed. He soon added modeling to his pursuit and it wasn’t long before he got signed with Wilhelmina Models in New York and then Vision Los Angeles.

Kofi had his first ever break in 2008 which came in the comedy-drama sports film, The Longshots starring . He had auditioned for the role just once which was enough to more than impress the film’s director, Fred Durst. Kofi would go on to appear in a teen romance comedy-drama Prom (2011) and made guest appearances in Lincoln Heights and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

2014 ushered Kofi into another phase of his career as he got his first ever recurring role in MTV’s comedy-drama series Awkward. Films like Whiplash and Straight Outta Compton would soon follow. On Queen Sugar which premiered in 2016, Kofi plays Ralph Angel Bordelon a formerly incarcerated father who has a 6-year-old son to cater for. Kofi turned heads in his performance in Girls Trip (2017) which starred big names like and Jada Pinkett Smith.

His Family: Parents, Brothers

Kofi was born to Ghanaian immigrants Kwame Boakye and Koshie Mills. Kofi, who doesn’t hide his love and respect for black women all over the world as we learned from his , is known for constantly appreciating his mother’s effort into making sure he grew up as a very loved kid. He told ELLE that his mother “didn’t have the most loving parents in the world.”

Kofi’s mom Koshie Mills, born in Ghana was raised in London. At the age of 16, she moved to the United States to study for a nursing degree. In her last college year, she met and married fellow Ghana immigrant Kwame Boakye. Kofi’s mom became a registered nurse at the age of 21 and began practicing.

Today, Kofi’s mom is a and runs her own talk show titled The Diaspora Dialogues. Kofi also has his mother serving as his manager. While quite a lot is known about Kofi’s mom, not the same can be said about his dad who maintains a very privy life.

Kofi Siriboe is the middle child in his family and has two brothers who are both Hollywood actors. The eldest Kwame Boateng was born on January 5, 1992. He got his debut acting role in 2006 in an episode of All of Us playing a young Dirk. His other credits include The Onion Movie (2008) and The Office. The youngest brother Kwesi Boakye was born on April 6, 1999.

Like Kofi, Kwesi began by doing commercials. Before he turned 4, he had appeared in over 30 national commercials. His filmography is awash with small screen gigs, however, Kewsi is best known for his role as Manny in ‘s 2009 film I Can Do Bad All By Myself. Kwesi has voiced a couple of animated characters including Gossamer on The Looney Tunes Show and Darwin on The Amazing World of Gumball.

 

His Wife or Girlfriend

Siriboe isn’t married just yet, but he does have a girlfriend. The lucky lady is the ebony supermodel Duckie Thot who hails from Sudan. Kofi had been hinting at a romantic relationship with her starting from September 2017 when he took to his Twitter account to post a photo collage of Thot which he interestingly captioned “she literally looks edible.” His International Women’s day message to her in March 2018 which started with the words; “My love, you blossom like the flowers do; you keep growing. I love watching you…” was more than confirmation that the two are an item.
