The end of the troubles that bedeviled Lori’s life came when she decided to fellowship with a church. It was there that she found solace which led to her life having a miraculous turnaround from a path headed for destruction to another which made her a blessing to others. Below is the story of Jim Bakker’s wife.

Lori Bakker Bio (Age)

Lori Bakker is an American author, motivational speaker, and televangelist who was born on the 30th of August 1957. She was born and brought up in a middle-class family which had their abode in Phoenix, Arizona. Her family had solid religious beliefs as they often attended church. It was with such high moral and religious standards that Lori was raised as a child.

However, when she became a teenager, she took a swerve away from her religious upbringing and immersed herself in things that her Christian faith warns against. Lori went into drugs which came with partying and sex. As a 17-year-old, she began a relationship with a man who thereafter married her. Nevertheless, the marriage was a living hell for her.

During this time, hard drugs were her momentary escape from the sad realities of her abusive marriage. But as she resorted to drugs, she got drowned more and more in her problems which seemed unending. In the course of her marriage, she got pregnant 5 times and in all of these 5 times, she aborted the pregnancy to keep her spouse who seemed not yet ready to raise kids. Her 5th abortion left her with a total hysterectomy which made it impossible for Lori to ever have children of her own. To escape all these pains, she clung tightly to hard drugs.

Well, no matter how far she seemed to have wandered off the path her parents showed her as a young girl, the grace of God still found her. Lori Bakker ended her sorrowful marriage in the year 1985. She then joined the Phoenix First Assembly of God where she began fellowshipping with other Christian believers in search for peace and healing of the painful wounds her poor choices in life had cost her.

As she kept attending the church, her turning point came in the year 1989 when she made a life-changing decision. Lori accepted Jesus Christ as her lord and personal savior. She began a new and higher journey of spiritual growth and enrolled in a Master’s Commission discipleship program. Lori earned her credentials in the program in 1991 and continued serving therein for almost 10 years. She volunteered in El Salvador and Mexico. Other areas which she served in include inner-city bus ministry, youth ministry, women’s ministry called Fashion Share, nursing home ministry, and prison ministry. Even, she participated in her church’s musical productions and illustrated sermons.
