1. Maggie’s mother was a popular actress

Margot Kidder who starred in the popular movie Superman where she acted as the original Lois Lane has just one child who is none other than Maggie Mcguane whom she had on October 28, 1976. However, Kidder was lost in May 2018 as she was found dead in her home in Livingston by a friend.

Maggie may have been the only child of her mother but she has other siblings she shares paternity with as her father who happens to be the novelist Thomas Mcguane remarried after his divorce from Kidder. The activist’s siblings have been identified as, Anne Mcguane and Thomas Francis Mcguane.

2. She had a flair for photography and writing

Prior to being an activist, Maggie Mcguane had an eye for photography and she is known to have had a successful career as a photographer. Moreso, her success in photography led her into modeling although she just modeled on a couple of occasions.

While enjoying her ride in modeling and photography, she realized her passion for writing and wanted to be a writer just like her father Thomas McGuane – an established novelist. On the 26th of August 1995, Maggie Mcguane tied nuptial knots with her first husband Walter Kirn – an established novelist who is recognized for writing “Up In The Air”. At the time of her marriage to Kirn, she was only 19 years old while Kirn was 32. The huge gap in their age didn’t matter as they were deeply in love.

They got married in a tiny town – Melville Montana in a white steeple Lutheran Church with just very few family and friends present. After their marriage, sources revealed that the couple moved to Livingston where they lived together before the union ended up in divorce years later. It is also known that Maggie’s union with Walter Kirn produced two lovely children – a daughter named Mazie Kirn and a son named Charlie Kirn.

4. Her current relationship status

Maggie Mcguane got married again and this time it was to Chad Franscoviak who is said to be a music producer and sound engineer. From what we gathered, the activist met Chad in the town she was staying in Livingston on a July 4th Independence Day celebration back in 2012 and that same year, they got married. Maggie’s son was the best man at the wedding, her daughter was the maid of honor and there were even song renditions made by popular musicians and who were invited by her husband.

Presently, the couple does not have any children together but they seem to be living a comfortable life in Livingston which also happens to be the place they initially met and bonded.

Maggie Mcguane has indeed groomed herself into the fine human and animal rights activist and she has her share of public recognition and acclaim in this field.
