Of Irish and German descent, Maria Shriver was born on November 6, 1955, in Chicago, Illinois. She joined the family of politician Sargent Shriver and activist Eunice Kennedy Shriver as their second child and was raised a Roman Catholic.
Her educational pursuit took her to Westland Middle School in Bethesda, Maryland, followed by Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart in the same city from where she graduated in 1973. She then spent two years at Manhattanville College before moving on to Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., from where she got her Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies in 1977.
Her career accomplishments earned her a Peabody Award. She co-anchored the Emmy-winning NBC coverage of the 1988 Summer Olympics and personally clinched two Emmys plus an Academy of Television Arts & Sciences award as executive producer of The Alzheimer’s Project, a television show she developed to critical acclaim. Her current job is with NBC News where she is a special anchor and correspondent. She was the First Lady of California from 2003 to 2011.

Things obviously went well for them as they walked down the aisle on April 26, 1986, in Hyannis, Massachusetts, where they exchanged marital vows at St. Frances Xavier Roman Catholic Church.
Their union produced four children – Christina Maria Aurelia, and Christopher Schwarzenegger but unknown to his family, the Hollywood bigshot had a love child tucked away. He later with one of their household staff, Mildred Patricia Baena which led to the birth of a child. Subsequently, the Hollywood power couple went their separate ways on May 9, 2011, following 25 years of marriage.
