The music sensation was born with the full name Brian Hugh Warner on January 5th, 1969 in Canton Ohio, United States of America. He adopted the name “Marilyn Manson” as his stage name and coined it by taking the first name of (an American actress) and last name of Charles Manson (an American criminal, cult leader and musician).

Aside from being an American, Marilyn Manson is of both Irish and German origins. He was enrolled at Heritage Christian School for his elementary education and he remained there up until 10th grade. It was at there that he developed a passion for his brand of music although he was taught against it.

Brian was moved later to GlenOak High School, graduating from there in 1987. In the early 90s, he relocated with his parents from Ohio to Florida and there, he enrolled at the Broward Community College in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he studied towards bagging a degree in Journalism. In his bid to gain experience in the line of journalism, Warner worked for some time with 25th Parallel (a music magazine) as a writer and also as an interviewer.

The musician teamed up with Scott Putesky to form a band known as “Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids” in 1989 although it was later shortened to Marilyn Manson.

Brian made his first appearance in the film in 1997 featuring in ‘Lost Highway’. He has gone to make other appearances in TV films and series most notably among them being ‘Sons of Anarchy’ and ‘Salem’.

Marilyn Manson is the only son of Hugh Angus Warner and Barbara Warner Wyer. He lost his mum in 2014 and barely 3 years after, his father also died. His father was one of his biggest supporters from the beginning of his career and as a way of showing his support for his son, he usually wore Marilyn’s kind of clothes and even chose to refer to him as “Manson”.

He was said to have been engaged to American actress Rose McGowan in 1998 but the engagement was called off barely 2 years later following differences in lifestyle as described by Rose.

The rock icon hooked up with fellow American singer, actress, burlesque dancer, model, and costume designer, Heather Renee Sweet, popularly known as Dita Von Teese. Shortly after proposing to her in March 2004, they got married. However, Dita sued for a divorce in December 2006 citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ among other reasons. The divorce was finalized on December 27th of the following year.

Warner has been linked to other women ever since his divorce from Von Teese. He started a relationship with Evan Rachel Wood although it was considered to be an on-off relationship which lasted for several years. In January 2010, he proposed to Rachel during a stage performance in Paris but the engagement was ended that same year. The record producer was also said to be romantically involved with American photographer Lindsay Usich. Marilyn Manson has come out to say he is single. He has no known children.

That was just an honest mistake as many of his fans heaved a sigh of relief when the air was eventually cleared concerning the real identity of the dead “Manson”.

The multiple-time Grammy award nominee is still very much alive with sightings of him being recorded at shows and in some other places.
