Ivan and Emilio Martinez were born on 10 May 1999, in Catalonia, Spain. The brothers are Spanish by nationality and belong to Hispanic ethnicity.

The names of their parents are not publicly known but they have an older sister whose name is Rebecca Martinez. The Martinez twins, as gathered, were born into a wealthy family but their father abandoned them with no money when they were 15, leading to their mother raising them single-handedly.

Regarding their education, it is believed that Ivan and Emilio completed their elementary and high school education. At the moment, the name of the high school they attended is not available but we can confirm that the school is situated in Spain.

The duo’s only sister, Rebeca Martinez, is a tennis player and also a famous social media personality. Born on August 16, 1995, in Spain, she has a huge following on her Instagram account – rbcamartinez.

How Old Are They Now?

By May 2018, the Martinez twins will turn nineteen years older. As their official website would have us believe, Emilio is five minutes older than Ivan. As identical twins, it is very difficult to tell the YouTubers apart but the only way to identify them is that Ivan has a smaller chin while Emilio has freckles (a small patch of light brown colour on his skin) and a bigger chin.

Career

The Martinez twins began their online career in January 2016, when they launched their channel called “Martinez Twins”, together with their friend, Ruben Beasley, who is also an Instagram personality.

From gaining immense popularity, the duo’s channel began raking high with an overwhelming number of subscribers. Their videos primarily centre on funny subjects and crazy challenges and usually receive a substantial number of views from online users.

Apart from YouTube, the twins are also popular on the lip-syncing app, Musical.ly, where they have 370,000 fans on their joint account called “blondtwins”.

The charming twins have also been with the popular group called “Team 10”. They joined the group in November 2017 with the intention of switching to Hollywood but things didn’t work out as planned as they left the group in November 2017 because they were bullied by the leader of the team, . Following their departure, Jake apologized for being an abusive leader and for bullying them during their stay in Team 10 house in Los Angeles.

According to the twins, they were mocked repeatedly by Jake and other members of the team because they couldn’t speak or understand English much at the time.

At the moment, the international digital stars’ online accounts boast over 20 million views per month with 6.8 million followers and fans across Instagram, Musical.ly, Twitter, and YouTube.

What Are They Up To?

Following a failed attempt to take over Hollywood, the Martinez twins are still picking up the pieces of their shattered dream. They are yet to come up with something massive after their deportation from the United States. The brothers appear to be working on something which we believe, will be unveiled at the right time.
