Mason Crosby is a Super Bowl-winning American football player who plies his trade with the Green Bay Packers, where he has spent his entire National Football League career. Here is all you need to know about the two-time First-team All-American pick, his wife, family and net worth.

Biography (Age)

Mason Crosby is the son of Karen and Jim Crosby. He was born on the 3rd of September, 1984, in Lubbock, Texas where he was also raised. As a schoolboy, Crosby was inspired to pursue a career in sports by his father who played college football and encouraged the young athlete to actively participate in his high school’s soccer and football teams.

After graduating Georgetown High School, Crosby enrolled at the University of Colorado where he became the star placekicker for their football team, thanks to his background in soccer and extraordinary leg strength. He most notably scored a 60-yard field goal in 2004 against Iowa State which was a school record. He went on to grow a reputation for scoring in the final moments of the game, showing amazing clutch ability while further enshrining himself into the hearts of his admirers.

By the time he graduated with a degree in Communications in 2006, Mason Crosby set and till today still holds 31 school records, including being his school’s all-time leading scorer player. He further earned first-team All-Big 12 selections from 2004 to 2006 as well as a unanimous first-team All-American honor as a junior. He was then selected by the Green Bay Packers in the 2007 NFL Draft with the 193rd overall pick in the sixth round.

Crosby was intended to play backup to the incumbent Packers placekicker but after scoring a 52-yard field goal in the first preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, he was given the starting role. In the season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles, Crosby kept through to his clutch reputation by converting his third kick of the night which came with just two seconds left on the clock, thereby ensuring his team’s victory. It was the first time a rookie scored a game-winner since 1979 and this led to him being named to the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week. He went on to lead the league in scoring that season with 130 points which was also a franchise record for a kicker.

As of 2017, Mason Crosby has featured in 176 regular season games, scoring 277 field goals from 345 field goal attempts.

Net Worth

Like many other NFL players, Mason Crosby has been able to live the life of his dreams thanks to the massive contracts he and other players in the league sign with their respective teams although placekickers are usually the lowest earners of the bunch. It is further an advantage that Crosby has significant talent and has even won a Super Bowl, which makes him a very good attraction for sponsorship.

The Packers all-time leading scorer is said to have an estimated net worth of $9 million. He most recently put pen to paper in 2016 on a four-year deal worth $16.1 million which gives him an annual salary of $4 million. The deal also came with a signing bonus of $5 million as well as other incentives that include offseason and game day active roster bonuses.

Mason Crosby is married to the beautiful Molly Crosby who was born Molly Christine Ackerman on the 6th of October, 1984 in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
