The former actor is a native of Victoria, Texas, in the United States. He was born there on 29th July 1990 to Deborah Prokop (mother) and Anthony Prokop (father). Deborah is an actress born in Victoria, Texas, on 20th November 1965. She is easily recognized for appearing in productions such as Underground (2007), and Viva Laughlin (2007).

There is no information about the occupation of Matt’s dad; however, he is said to have tied the knot with Deborah on the 20th of July 1985. The two are also parents to Stephanie Prokop, their only daughter.

For some reasons, the actor has not really opened up about his family history, educational qualifications, and what his childhood was like. Prokop grew up in his hometown until the age of sixteen when he left his parents and relocated to the city of Los Angeles to launch his acting career.

The Texas-born actor made his first acting appearance in the year 2007 when he featured as Troy McCann in the musical comedy television series, Hannah Montana. His next gig was in the American sitcom, The Office, precisely in the episode, Cocktails.

Between the year 2007 and 2013 when he retired, Prokop starred in a slew of television series and films. Apart from the projects mentioned above, other stints he completed in the television industry include In the Motherhood (2009, as Luke), Medium Kyle (2009, as “K.C.” Covington), and Good Luck Charlie (2011, as Evan). His last two projects in the industry are Modern Family and Perception. The year 2012 was when he appeared as Ethan in Modern Family, after which he portrayed Ian Vetter in Perception, which was released in 2013.

Talking about his film credits, Matt Prokop participated in about fifteen works between 2007 and 2013. His first gig was as Zack in Marked, which was produced in 2007. In the same year, he was featured as Zack in the project titled An Angel Named Billy.

In 2008 alone, Prokop starred as Jimmie “Rocket Man” Zara in Peter Barsocchini’s musical film High School Musical 3: Senior Year and as the young version of the character Cameron in the comedy-drama film, Green Flash. Remarkably, he appeared in the project alongside talents like David Charvet, Christine Adams, , Bree Turner, Torrey DeVitto, and Wilson Cruz.

Matt Prokop spent a greater part of his time in the year 2010 working on films like Furry Vengeance (as Tyler Sanders), Monster Heroes (as Pretty Jonas Stein), and I Owe My Life to Corbin Bleu (as Cool Guy). Other characters the actor has portrayed on the big screen include J.T in the 2011 work, Conception.

His other gigs in the movie industry include Struck By Lightning (2012, as Dwayne Michaels), Cougar Hunting (2011, as Tyler Sanders), and the 2011 television film Geek Charming (as Josh Rosen). Matt wrapped up his career in the film industry after starring as Tommy in April Apocalypse (2013).

Matt Prokop is yet to officially walk a lady down the aisle. Previously, he was in a romantic relationship with Hollywood actress for many years. It is not known exactly when they started seeing each other but we can establish that the two called it quits in the month of August 2014.

It was also in the same month that Hyland secured a temporary restraining order against the Victoria-born actor for allegedly abusing her both verbally and physically while their relationship lasted. The restraining order eventually became permanent two months later.

The 5 feet 11 inches actor has been linked to English actress Jemma McKenzie-Brown, whom he reportedly dated in the year 2008. Right now, it is not clear if they are still together or not.
