Known professionally as Metro Boomin and also going by Young Metro or simply Metro, he is addressed formally as Leland Tyler Wayne born on September 16, 1993, in St. Louis, Missouri into a family where he had 4 siblings. Originally, he has his roots in Atlanta, Georgia. His parent’s names are Lamont Wayne and Leslie Wayne, father and mother respectively.
He took to music from a very early age by playing bass guitar in his middle school band, even when he attended Parkway North High School he still held on to music.
His mother was very instrumental at this stage of his life as it was the laptop she bought for him that enabled him to devote more creative time into making music beats. Most times, 5 beats a day. He was making these beats mostly to rap over them but as time went on, he branched into full hip hop music production.
