Alspaugh, who has been a producer with The Leeza Gibbons Show for 25 years, and her late husband, Jackson, adopted their son Wyatt Jackson at birth, who was later diagnosed with autism.

Besides Wyatt, she had no other children from her previous marriage with  – a well-known TV persona and one of the most expensive journalists of the year until his sack from working as an anchor for NBC.

In her statement, she said  has been the best person to have ever held the job and doesn’t think he was given a chance to defend himself.
