Nancy Travis Biography and Age

September 21, 1961, was when the beautiful actress was born as Nancy Ann Travis in New York City. She was raised in Framingham, Massachusetts, and Baltimore in a Catholic home by her sales executive father and social worker mother, Theresa and Gordon Travis. She also has a brother, Gordon Jr.

As she grew, she was very much interested in acting that by the age of 7, she was already appearing in school plays such as Charlotte’s Web in which she played the role of Wilbur the Pig. It was the love of acting that later drove her to be a part of the Framingham school theatre productions. After her high school, she went to the New York University from where she graduated in 1983 with a degree in fine arts.

Looking at her acting career, as soon as she graduated from the university, she joined the Beach Memoirs in touring the country. Before finally going professional in acting, Nancy Travis got the opportunity to feature in a number of commercials.

Her first professional appearance was in Malice in Wonderland which was a 1985 Television film followed by Harem the next year. Her hit came in 1987 when she acted in the successful movie, Three men and a Baby in which she was given the role of Sylvia Bennington. Travis later returned to play the same character in Three Men and a Little Lady in 1990.

Over the coming years, she has been a part of many more movies including Internal Affairs (1990), My Last Love (1999), Beyond Suspicion (2000), and Safe Harbor (2009). Her most recent movies are Bernard and Huey (2017) and Married Young (2018). For Television, she has acted in Duckman, Almost perfect, Work with Me (which she also produced), Last Man Standing, and The Kominsky Method.

She has enjoyed what can as well be described as a very successful acting career with more than 30 movies and close to 20 TV productions to her name. Nevertheless, she still has no major awards or nominations on her shelf.

Not someone who has been in many relationships in the past, Nancy is a married woman and her husband is Robert Fried. He is an American film producer who also doubles as a media entrepreneur and studio executive.

Robert Fried, who was at a time, the Executive Vice President of Production for Columbia Pictures and Travis got married in 1994. They met following the success of her role in Three Men and a Baby. This was when he worked with Columbia Pictures. Immediately they met, they fell in love and by 1990, the actress moved into his home, before finally tying the knot 4 years later. Their marriage is blessed with two sons, Benjamin who was born in 1998 and Jeremy, born in 2001. Jeremy Fried has made a couple of appearances thus far in the movies; The Little Frog (2008) and Miss Connie’s Last Day (2012).

For Nancy Travis and Robert Fried, it has been both business and pleasure as she was a part of his So I Married an Axe Murderer movie.

Nancy is very close to her family and as , she sees too much effort in dressing up for parties and other outdoor events as such, she always prefers staying at home with her family.
