She was born on May 15, 1960, in California and is of white ethnicity. Growing up, Nancy was very much interested in dancing and she began attending dance classes from a young age. She thereafter attended the University of California and graduated with a degree in arts.

Their wedding was the talk of the town and it was graced by family, friends and lots of personalities. The couple welcomed their first child, a girl named Sara Moonves in 1984. Moonves was the Chairman and CEO of ‘CBS Corporation at the time and so the whole process was all in the open.
Moonves and Julie Chen got married on December 23, 2004, in Mexico after his divorce from Wiensfeld on December 10, 2004. They welcomed their first child, Charlie Moonves five years later in September 2009.
