He then relocated to New York City to attend Parsons School of Design. While he was at the school of design, he met his then-girlfriend (Sean Yseult) with whom he started the music band White Zombie. Before the band gained worldwide recognition, he worked as a production assistant on the TV series Pee-wee’s Playhouse.

After a successful music career with the White Zombie, the members disbanded in 1998, ushering in a new chapter in Rob’s life as he began his solo career and filmmaking.

He married after dating her for several years and the couple collaborates in most of his works.

Rob’s directorial debut would have been in the film The Crow: 2037 for which he also wrote the script. Unfortunately, the franchise decided that the film wasn’t well suited for them so it never happened. In 1999, while still making music, he designed a haunted attraction which was deemed instrumental to the revival of the Halloween Horror Nights annual attraction for the Universal Studio. About this time, he began to work on his directorial debut.

The film named House of 1000 Corpses began filming in May 2000 and was scheduled to be released the following year but the studio eventually canceled the release on account of the violent themes in the film. After several re-shoots, the film was eventually released through Lions Gate Entertainment in April 2003. Despite its initial negative review, it quickly gained a cult-like following and has been named as one of the best horror films ever made. The sequel to the movie titled The Devil’s Rejects was released in 2005. It received more positive review than its predecessor and was also well-loved by fans.

In 2007, Rob decided to focus on his career as a director after he signed a contract to remake (write and direct) the 1978 horror classic Halloween. His version was released in August 2007. The film broke the box office Labor Day weekend record, opening with $30.5 million. The film went ahead to gross $80.3 million worldwide which remains Rob’s highest-grossing film till date. He also wrote, directed and produced a Faux-trailer for Grindhouse titled Werewolf of Women of the SS in 2007. Halloween II which is a sequel to the first was released in 2009 and didn’t do as well as its predecessor. Other works written and directed by Rob include The Haunted World of El Superbeasto (released directly to DVD in 2009), The Lords of Salem (2012), 31 (2016). For his work in filmmaking, he has won awards.

In 2019, Rob released another sequel to the 2003 House of 1000 Corpses and 2005 The Devil’s Rejects. The film titled 3 from Hell was released on the 16th of September 2019. While it received mixed reviews from critics, it was praised by the audiences.

What Is Rob Zombie’s Height?

Rob Zombie is 5 feet 10 inches tall. That should have been enough if not for the accusations spewed all over the internet that it’s untrue. In most of his movies, he appears larger than life and has been accused of wearing tall shoes and boots to enhance his height. Rob once jocularly called himself a hobbit, saying he is “four three”. His wife (Sheri Moon Zombie), on the other hand, is definitely 5 feet 10 inches tall so to get Rob’s actual height, one will just have to watch out for him beside his wife and compare. Voila!
