Little was born to April and Harold Little on February 11, 2000, and named Nassir Shamai Little. We are yet to confirm if he is an only child or grew up with siblings but his parents moved around a lot when he was a child as they served in the U.S. military. Their job naturally took the family to different parts of the country but from what we gathered, Little spent much time in Orange Park, Florida, which he now refers to as his hometown. It was also in the city that he attended school at Orlando Christian Prep, located in Orlando, Florida, where he played basketball to rave reviews. He continued his career in college after he chose to play for Roy Williams’ North Carolina Tar Heels at the University of North Carolina.

Career Stats and Rankings

As a baller in high school, Nassir Little left an indelible footprint and raised the bars really high with his performance on the court. He was among the players in his class who ranked higher than the rest. At Orlando Christian Prep, Little was the MVP of the 2018 McDonald’s All-American Game. He scooped the title after recording 28 points at the All-Star game. He also added five rebounds, one assist, as well as one steal to the milestone.

Nassir Little didn’t finish high school without taking the Jordan Brand Classic MVP title. He claimed the extra feather to his hat after posting his outstanding 24 points in 25 minutes. The game presented him with the opportunity he has been waiting for and he made the most of it. All eyes and cameras rested on him as he proved to spectators that the hype he came to college with wasn’t exaggerated and by the time he left the court, Nassir got resounding applause from the crowd. He finished the game with 18 points, a team-high which he tied with Johnson, in addition to career-high eight rebounds.

The Florida native has secured a national recognition as a ripe talent and potential pick in the next NBA draft but before then, we will be expecting more action in his college career.
