Nessa Diab – Biography (Ethnicity)

Born on May 6th, 1981 in Southern California, Nessa came into a world bedeviled by the Gulf War which affected her since she has roots in the Middle East. Her ethnicity is a mixture of Egyptian and the Middle East. Her family moved around a lot because of the job her father was involved in. Though it won’t be surmised that she had a troubled childhood but in her early days as a student, she used to wear masks to school amid the ravages of war battlefields in the city.

Luckily for Nessa, she was able to escape the bloody environment when she went to study at the University of California, Berkeley where she obtained a degree in Mass Communication.

Career

While writing and remixing songs was her first love, Nessa Diab started a radio career as an intern with Clear Channel’s promotional team and at the same time, she joined the crew on a news show on WILD 94.9 KYLD. She later added POWER 106 KPWR to the list of stations she worked with – on the show dubbed ‘West Coast Report’. The versatile on-air personality soon switched from WILD 94.9 to ENERGY 92.7 but she later left the San Francisco-based station to return to her home station (WILD 94.9) to host the overnight show during the weekdays. She also hosted a weekday night show for 101.5 JAMZ in Phoenix, Arizona.

At this point in her career, she became a force to reckon with and raised the bars even higher with her job at San Francisco’s Wild 94.4 primetime radio show ‘Nessa’s Night Show’ where her celebrity interviews ensured her reign both on radio and YouTube. Her performance on the show also earned her a spot on MTV popular TV show ‘Girl CodeM’.

Nessa’s career went to a new height when she started working on Hot97 as a replacement for Angie Martinez in 2015. This iconic position made her ‘The Voice of New York’, as well as a very popular media personality. She currently hosts ‘The Nessa Show on Host 97’ on the station WQHT KMVQ. Beyond her booming career as a radio host, Nessa has equally taken credit for hosting some TV shows including ‘Ain’t That America’, ‘The Real World Aftershow’, ‘iHeartRadio Music Festival’, ‘MTV2 Charlamagne & Friends’, ‘VH1 Big Morning Buzz’, ‘Teen Mom Aftershow’, ‘MTV2 Jobs That Don’t Suck’ and ‘Real Talk’.

Nessa was born into a Muslim family, raised by an Egyptian father and her mother who is from the Middle East. She grew up alongside two brothers but their names are not known. Due to the nature of her father’s job at the time, the family based in Saudi Arabia but often traveled to the United States – California to be precise. She later moved to the States when it was time for college and stayed back to build her career

They started dating when the American football player was a quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). While their dalliance started in July 2015, the duo only went public with it in February 2016.

Born November 3, 1987, Kaepernick had his college career at the University of Nevada from where he joined the San Francisco 49ers during the 2011 NFL Draft. In 2016, Kaepernick aroused mixed reactions when he decided to sit while the U.S. national anthem was on before the games. He later started kneeling as a continuation of his protest against racial injustice. He became a free agent in 2016 and has gone unsigned since then, no thanks to the aftermath of his on-field political statements.
