Park Seo Joon is a popular actor from South Korea who ventured into acting in 2011 but was ushered into the limelight in 2015 following his outstanding performance in Television films, such as Kill Me, Heal Me, She was Pretty and The Chronicles of Evil. Park Seo Joon, born on the 16th of December 1988 in Seoul, South Korea, with the birth name Park Yong-Gyu, was raised alongside his two younger brothers. He attended An-am high school and had his university education at the Kyungpook National University. It was reported that he enrolled at the Seoul Institute of Arts where he studied Theatre. In 2008, Park being only 19 at the time got enlisted to serve in the South Korean military following a 2-year mandatory military service as enshrined in the laws of South Korea. He got discharged in 2010 upon completion of his mandatory service.

The popular actor made his first appearance in the entertainment scene in 2011 featuring in the music video of “I Remember” by Bang Yong-guk. The following year, he appeared in “Dream High 2”. In 2013, the same year he starred in “Pots of Gold”, he became the host of Music bank which he held on to till 2015. Park also featured in “A Witch’s Love” in 2014.

The award-winning actor’s breakthrough came in 2015 when he starred in three hit movies that got some award nominations, winning some. The movies included TV films “Kill Me, Heal Me”, “She was Pretty” and “The Chronicles of Evil”. The following year saw him co-star alongside South Korean actress, Go Ara, in TV drama series “Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth”. 2017 was a rather successful year for Park Seo Joon. He co-starred with Kim Ji-won in the romance film “Fight for My Way” which ended up a hit and topped the ratings as well.

Park landed his first big-screen lead role, featuring alongside Kang Ha-nuel in the 2017 movie, “Midnight Runners”, an action and comedy film. That same year, he went on to win the Korea Film Actors Association Award for Popular Star. In 2018, the South Korean press nicknamed Park the “master of romantic comedy” due to his impressive display in the romantic comedy-drama, “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim” which recorded tremendous success in the Asian countries.
