Paxton James Lynch is an Aquarian as he was born on February 12, 1994, to Stacie and David Lynch. His birthplace was San Antonio, Texas but he began his high school studies at Trinity Christian Academy in Deltona, Florida where he played football and basketball in the respective team for each sport.

Paxton Lynch was rated by Rivals.com as a “three-star recruit” as he recorded a total of 2,099 yards passed during his high school career. Following his impressive career in high school, more was expected of him and to do just that and prove his determination to play in the NFL, Paxton committed to see his college career through with the Memphis Tigers Football team in the University of Memphis. Here, he studied sport and leisure management and bagged a degree in May 2016.

Lynch would, however, spend his first season (2012) on a redshirt but coming to the 2013 season, he was on his feet ready to growl with his fellow tigers.

He began 12 games in the 2013 season recording 203 of 349 passes for 2,056 yards with 9 touchdowns and 10 clean interceptions. Paxton played even better in the 2014 season with 13 starts from which he had 259 of 413 attempts for 3,031 yards completed, 22 touchdowns, and 9 memorable interceptions. With his 306 yards passing, 4 pass touchdowns and 3 rushing touchdowns, he was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 2014 Miami Beach Bowl.

The 2015 season became his last in college as he decided to forgo senior year and enlist for the 2016 NFL Draft. Following this, the Denver Broncos picked him in the first round (26th overall and 3rd of 15 quarterbacks) of the 2016 NFL Draft. This pick came in an exchange for the first and third-round pick of the Seattle Seahawks. Paxton Lynch would then sign a four-year contract with the Broncos worth $9,476,296 with a $5,091,852 signing bonus.

He had his first NFL action on October 2, 2016, in a match against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers when he came on to replace Trevor Siemian who was taken off due to injury. By the end of his rookie season, he had recorded 497 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns with 1 interception.

 

The 2017 season began with a pre-season injury for him which he picked up playing against the Green Bay Packers. He made a return to the field of play on the 11th week when they were to play the Cincinnati Bengals as a backup to . The following week, he made the team’s starting line up against the Kansas City Chiefs in a regular season finale, but would, however, pick up an ankle injury in the third quarter of the match which then saw him off till December. In the 2018 season, he began serving as a backup to newly acquired Case Keenum.
