Pete Davidson’s Biography

Born November 16, 1993, in Staten Island, New York, Peter Michael Davidson has a Jewish, Irish, English, German, Scottish and Italian ancestry. He is the only son of Scott Davidson and Amy Waters Davidson and grew up with his only younger sister, Casey.

He graduated from Xaverian High School, Brooklyn in 2011, where his mother still works as the school nurse. Davidson later moved on to St. Francis College in Brooklyn Heights but dropped out shortly after.

Growing up as a teenager, he took to smoking marijuana and could only endure stage performances after being high. He also suffered from Crohn’s disease, a bowel inflammatory disease, since the age of 17 or 18, during which he disclosed that stage performances wouldn’t be as much fun for him without marijuana, especially on Saturday Night Live.

Career

Pete Davidson made his first attempt as a stand-up comedian at age 16 in a Staten Island bowling alley following a challenge posed by some friends who knew of his comedy aspirations. From then on, he began to build a steady career for himself as an actor and comedian.

He soon got the opportunity to appear on TV with his debut on the third episode of the MTV comedy series Failosophy, which premiered on February 28, 2013. A month later Davidson featured in the third-season episode of the MTV2 reality TV comedy series Guy Code. He also made an appearance on  Presents: Wild ‘N Out.

In June 2013, the second-season episode of the Comedy Central program Gotham Comedy Live became his first televised stand-up comedy. The program showcased comedians at the Gotham Comedy Club in New York City.

Davidson became the youngest cast member of Saturday Night Live born in the 1990s, the only 20-year old with the show’s 40th-season premiere debuted on September 27, 2014. He played minor roles in 2015 comedy Trainwreck and in March the same year, he became a roaster on  Comedy Central Roast.

The comedian was enlisted on the Forbes 30 under 30 industry recognized figures in 2016, the same year he recorded his first stand-up special Pete Davidson: SMD in New York.

Net Worth

Pete Davidson has a net worth of $2 million. This is estimated from his active membership on SNL since 2014. A show from which he reportedly earns $15,000 per episode. In other words, if he makes one appearance on all 21 episodes each year, his earning would be $315,000 per year from the live show.

But the Saturday Night Live is just one of the many things he earns from, he also so rakes in the cash from movies, TV hosting and other media stuff he does.

Girlfriend

The news of Pete Davidson and engagement got the media buzzing. They were engaged in May after supposedly dating for about a month but not without bailing out on both of their previous relationships.

Davidson had a girlfriend, whom he was in a longterm relationship with. The SLN comedian and Cazzie dated for three years and according to subsequent reports, both were on break from each other when he fell for the singer.

Meanwhile, words spread in May 17, 2018, that Cazzie and Davidson had broken up and the latter has obviously moved on with his famous fiancee. This can be seen as the comedian took to his Instagram page to splash photos of himself and Grande wearing the huge diamond engagement ring reportedly worth $93,000. They have also been seen on date nights out with friends calling them “almost newlyweds,” and even planning to move in together.

Pete Davidson’s Dad

He was only 7 years old when his father, Scott Davidson died a hero in the September 11 terror attack – he was a New York firefighter performing a heroic rescue and was last seen running up the stairs of Marriott World Trade Center, just before the skyscraper collapsed.

Davidson was traumatized by the tragic incident and reportedly said it was “overwhelming” for him as a kid and as such, he would often throw tantrums at school and at one point, ripped his hair out until he was bald.

Apparently, the actor was very close to his dad and still has some childhood pictures of both of them together on his Instagram page.

Tattoo

The comedian seems to love tattoos more than most people. From that of whom he considers his hero; to the tattoo of his ex-girlfriend Cazzie which he recently covered up. And now, Davidson got two new inks of his fiancee, Ariana Grande.
