Within a short while, he was already a part of the station’s best-listened program called The Hot 97 Morning Show, airing from 5 am to 10 am and featuring old and new artists and their music.

Peter, alongside Cipha Sounds (also known as Luis Diaz) and the African-American DJ K. Foxx, hosted the program and the three were called the Black, the Rican, and the Jew—sometimes shortened to Black Rican Jew with Peter being the “Jew”.

The success of the program led to Peter’s hosting of his own show named Real Late With Rosenberg on the same radio station.
