Pippa Middleton’s Biography
Born Philippa Charlotte Middleton, on September 6, 1983, Pippa is the second of three children born to her parents in Reading, Berkshire, England. Her parents – Michael and Carole – worked in the British aviation industry and that was where they first met. Pippa has two other siblings – an older sister, Catherine Middleton (widely known as Kate, Duchess of Cambridge) and a younger brother, James William Middleton, who is a businessman and entrepreneur.
Pippa attended the same private boarding school her older sister attended – St Andrew’s School in Pangbourne – before moving to Downe House School in Cold Ash. Also, she earned a sports scholarship to attend Marlborough College in Wiltshire before she proceeded to enroll at the University of Edinburgh.
At the university, Pippa was opportune to mix up with royalty without knowing destiny will bring royalty her way. Lord Edward Innes-Ker, son of the Duke of Roxburghe, and Earl Percy, son of the Duke of Northumberland were housemates with her and called themselves the “Castle Crew”. She dated the latter for a short while before she graduated in 2008 with a bachelors degree in English Literature. She is the extrovert among the Middleton children, especially when compared to her older sister, Kate.
Career
Being an outgoing person, Pippa Middleton had a flair for outdoor event management but after graduating from university, she worked with a public firm and promoted luxury products before she switched to event management. Her first job in that regard was with the event management company based in London, Table Talk.
Pippa has also worked with Party Pieces, a company owned by her parents as an editor of the Party Times magazine, howbeit, on a part-time basis. She was paid a £400,000 advance by Penguin Books to write a book for them on event planning. She did write a piece titled, Celebrate, which was published in 2012 but the book was a commercial failure and generated very low ratings which made her part ways with her literary agent in 2013.
As a writer, she featured as an editor and a contributor in several publications and magazines including The Spectator (2012), Vanity Fair (2013), Waitrose Kitchen (2013), The Sunday Telegraph (2013), etc. She quit her job with the latter in May 2014 and became the director of PXM Enterprises Limited, a company in which she held shares; but just three months into her marriage in 2017, she closed the business. In 2013, Pippa became an ambassador of a school for children with impaired hearing. She is also an ambassador for the British Heart Foundation.
Her Route to Fame – Kate Middleton
Pippa’s popularity came with the wedding of her older sister, Kate Middleton to Prince William. It was that relationship that changed her family’s status in Britain as her sister became the Dutchess of Cambridge. Kate had met young Prince William at the University of St. Andrews, Scotland and they began a relationship which would later lead them to the altar.
As attention was paid to the newest romance in England’s royal palace, some of the attention filtered down to Pippa Middleton. She was her sister’s closest friend and was always seen with her at the mall and in other public places and soon, paparazzi began to follow her around too. Perhaps it came to the zenith when she appeared at the royal wedding as her sister’s maid of honor.

The couple recently revealed that they are expecting their first child whose arrival date is expected to be October 2018.
Pippa, like her older sister, is married to a line of royal succession and will be known by the title Lady Glen Affric if her Scottish husband, James Matthews, inherits his father’s position as the Laird of Glen Affric, which is a Scottish estate 15 miles from Loch Ness. Currently, James is heir to his father David Matthews.
