The internet erupted in a fit of rage and condemnation when McBroom’s old tweets, in which he made a lot of disparaging and demeaning comments about black women, Asian women, and women in general resurfaced.
Instead of apologizing for the tweets, Austin Mcbroom made a video featuring his mum, who waved off his remarks as nothing but jokes. She claimed that her son couldn’t be racist because he was a mixed-race: Puerto Rican, Mexican, Black, and White. Fans and followers of the Ace Family might know her as Catherine Paiz, but it turns out that Paiz is not her first name. She revealed in an interview that she was embarrassed by her first name, which made her seem like a grandmother, so she adopted her middle name.
Although Paiz hasn’t disclosed what her first name is, other sources have revealed that it is “Dolores”. She was named after her mother’s foster mother. Paiz doesn’t use the name publicly, but she admits that she has come to appreciate it because of the sweet story behind it.

The Ace family is no stranger to controversy. They have had their fair share of bad publicity, but some of the scandals they are embroiled have hit their reputation really hard. Since the rape scandal broke, McBroom and Paiz have been working hard to do damage control and prevent the family’s name from being dragged through the mud. They shared their own set of screenshots from the alleged victim, where she denied that McBroom raped her and claimed Carrigan made up the story so the Ace Family would pay him hush money. They also shared pictures of legal documents, explaining that they would be taking the matter to court on the grounds of extortion and defamation, and slander.
