Sean McVay kick-started his professional career in 2008, serving as the assistant wide receivers coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers He subsequently joined the Washington Redskins in 2010. The Dayton native spent a total of six years with the Redskins during which he variously served as a tight ends coach as well as an offensive coordinator.

He massively improved the attacking fortunes of the Redskins and it was therefore not surprising when he was unveiled as the head coach of LA Rams in June 2007. What however surprised many was that McVay was just 30 at the time of his appointment, making him the youngest coach in modern NFL history.

The couple first met around 2011; McVay was an assistant coach at the Washington Redskins while Khomyn was a student at the nearby George Mason University, Virginia. They are also destined for the altar as they got engaged while vacationing in France in June 2019.
