Let us get to know some of the many interesting things about this National Football League (NFL) player.

Reuben Foster’s Bio

Reuben Burdon Foster was born on the 4th of April 1994 in Roanoke, Alabama. His parents – Inita Berry Paige and Danny Foster – went their separate ways in a divorce while he was still very young; about 18 months old. It was an ugly separation as his father (Danny Foster) had shot his mother (Inita Paige) while she was carrying him on her back. In 1996, Dany Foster was arrested and indicted by a grand jury before he fled the state. He was later caught and moved to Randolph County but he managed to escape again and so he stayed away for sixteen years with a new identity in Miami, Florida. After being a fugitive for so long, Danny was caught again and taken back to the Randolf County in Alabama to face trial.

The star player began his high school education at the Troup County High School and there he was part of the school’s football team such that he was said to be the best linebacker of his class. He continued with the team until his junior season when he announced his transfer to another school. One of the reasons he decided to transfer was because the team’s head coach was laid off when it came to light that he had paid a football player to transfer from his school to play for Troup. Reuben later finalized his transfer and went ahead to register at Auburn High School.

His record at Auburn High School was exceptional and he participated in the 2013 Under Armour All-American Game in which he was also given the defensive MVP honors. His career in football excelled such that ESPN recognized him as a four-star recruit and he was also said to be the top inside linebacker of his class.

He had committed verbally to play for Auburn University but Reuben went back on his commitment after the school fired its head coach Gene Chizik and his assistant Trooper Taylor. He had developed a special kind of bond with the coach at that time and so the school’s decision to fire the coach from the team made him change his mind about playing for them. With a plethora of offers on the table for him, he chose to play for Alabama, despite the odds being in the favor of Georgia to win his signature.

College Football and Pro Career

Reuben Foster began his career at Alabam as a true freshman and played nine games (with no starts) in that season after his debut against Virginia Tech. His first start for Alabama came in his sophomore year where he also featured in an improved eleven games in the linebacker’s position. He would later play his way in subsequent season to become one the best linebackers in college football while also scooping the Butkus Award at the end of his senior year in 2016.

Reuben was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft and he agreed to a four-year contract with the franchise. He was brought in to serve as a backup linebacker to Malcolm Smith but would not turn out to be so as Smith picked up an injury in the team training camp and so Foster was named starting linebacker for that season.

It was in the San Fransisco 49ers season opener against the Carolina Panthers that Reuben Foster made his NFL debut. The game ended without him as he also picked up an injury in a duel with . He would go on to sit out five weeks but returned in Week 7.

Reuben Foster’s Personal Life – Girlfriend, Daughter

Elissa Ennis is the former girlfriend of Reuben Foster. She was born on February 22, 1990, and there isn’t much personal information on the damsel asides from the fact that she had falsely accused Reuben Foster of domestic violence. Elissa had made claims that the footballer beat her up and inflicted injuries on her body. The case was charged to court for a hearing. On May 2018, Elissa testified in court issuing a contradicting statement to the claims and saying that Reuben Foster did not hit her, injure or threaten her.

She said she made up all the claims of domestic violence just because her feelings were hurt when Reuben put an end to their relationship after she had admitted fighting with a lady who gave her the bruises she had on her body. Elissa also cited that the claim on assault was a ploy to swindle money from the footballer. Their affair was put to an end and Reuben Foster, for now, is not said to be seeing or dating anyone, he is just focusing on his career and fatherhood.

He has a daughter named A’Zyia who was born to him by the younger sister of former Auburn linebacker Tray Blackmon. A’Zyia was born in 2009 and there is no information about her asides from her relationship with her father which seems to be going on very well.
