Born Stephanie Rose Bertram, her parents – A Belgian father and a Portuguese mother welcomed her into the world on the 26th of October 1994 in Kortrijk, Belgium. The very little of her childhood she got to have before she was swallowed by the fast-moving world of modeling was spent in Flanders in Deinze, Belgium where she was raised.

Rose’s ethnicity is pretty interesting seeing as she was born to a Belgian father and a mother of Senegalese, Angolan and Portuguese origins. Her multi-ethnic origins have helped her create an exotic brand that has been very useful in building her modeling career. According to Stephanie herself, modeling was something she always wanted to do right from when she was a child. This discovery was not the only different thing about Stephanie as a child, she was often found among boys because of her more “masculine” interests which include soccer.

Despite getting signed to a modeling agency at the age of 13, her first official gig did not come until she was 16 and appeared for a Jambox photoshoot. It was the start of a modeling career that has featured works with brands like H&M, Primark, Agent Provocateur, Hunkemöller, L’Oréal.

Rose Bertram spent considerable time modeling in her home country but after a while, it was time to take the show international and she, therefore, moved to the United States. When she got to the States, she signed with a model management agency, Marilyn Agency. The career expansion paid off and she featured in two of the most popular fashion magazines in the United States, GQ Magazine and the Swimsuit Edition of Sports Illustrated, becoming the first Belgian model to achieve the feat.

She has appeared in Sports Illustrated magazine thrice and has added several other US brands to her list of photo shoots, including a topless ad for Good American. She was also the primary subject of Tyler the Creator’s photo series for Oyster Magazine and has worked with other prominent models like and Leomie Anderson.

Not satisfied with simply being a model, Rose also has her sights set on conquering the filmmaking world of Hollywood. She has been taking auditions and is currently working on getting her first movie. She is a bilingual model who speaks both French and English.

The beautiful model is in a serious relationship with the Dutch soccer player, Gregory van der Wiel. The couple has been in each other’s lives since she was 17. As a result of a soccer player’s tendency to be transferred to clubs in various cities across Europe, she has lived in Paris and currently lives in Istanbul.
