Sean Lew’s Biography, Age

The young dancer cum cook was born in Walnut, California on November 25, 2001. Lew became known to the world when a video of him dancing to Lady Gaga’s Applause went viral. making him an overnight internet sensation. Since then he has appeared on a plethora of reality television shows, talk shows, and even tv series while constantly training at the Mather Dance Studio in California. He is also a member of the dance crew ImmaBEAST and has competed on World of Dance.

Sean Lew’s first professional gig came in the form of the television musical drama series Glee. He appeared as a dancer in the episode “Britney/Brittany” in the second season of the series, although he was uncredited for the role.

In 2014, Sean was involved in four television projects. He had an uncredited voicing role in the animated movie Penguins of Madagascar. Lew also appeared on the episode “#FresnoGirl” on Nickelodeon’s hit comedy series Sam & Cat. He also has to his credit the character known as Hi-Def Boy #2 in an episode of the family drama series See Dad Run.

Lew then showed up as a park dancer in the 2015 movie Breaking Through, and as a dancer in the 2016 short movie Sia: The Greatest. In 2016, he rekindled his relationship with Nickelodeon when he showed up as a character named Jono in two episodes of Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn.

Besides movies and series, Lew has appeared on various dance-offs, cook-offs, talk shows, and award nights. He attended the 2012 and 2014 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards and was on the Red Carpet for E! at the 2015 Academy Awards. Sean Lew has also been on other competitions like the X-Factor, America’s Got Talent, and Dance-Off Juniors. 

Interestingly, one of his first recognizable awards did not come from a dancing competition but from cooking. In 2014, Sean Lew appeared as one of the contestants on the television documentary Rachel vs. Guy: Kids Cook-Off. He won his first cooking competition in 2017 when he came out tops on Food Network’s cooking competition show Chopped Junior.

His Family and Girlfriend

The dancer comes from a close-knit happy family. His parents are known as Chuck, and Miya Lew. One of Sean’s parents is Japanese and the other is Chinese, making him a definite Asian. He also has two siblings, his sisters, Sarah and Serris Lew.

There were rumors flying around that Sean was dating a girl called Sophia Lucia. However, they turned out to be false. It appears he is focusing on building his career at the moment. When he gets a girlfriend, we will let you be aware of it.

1. Sean Lew has worked with his sister Serris

The siblings have a bit of a family collaboration going on. Sean and his sister Serris are both accomplished dancers, and have worked on a few projects together. Most notably they both worked together on a dance cover of Rick Ross’s Everyday I’m hustling, and Clean Bandit’s Stronger.

2. Lew’s culinary skills landed him his own show

Sean has said that his favorite food is anything his mother cooks. However, he does have cooking talents of his own. In fact, his cooking has earned him his own segment on Beast Network called Cooking with Sean Lew. On this show, he is known for his most popular recipes of Monkey Bread and Deep Fried Burgers.

3. Sean is involved in more than one dance crew

He is a member of a few dance groups. One of his dance crews immaBEAST have danced alongside and even performed at the White House. Their first video as a group was a cover of the song Dope by rapper .

4. Sean and his sisters co-founded a business

The name of their business is “Lewster”, which is a combination of their last names and the word loser. It is a platform where they sell clothing items and accessories all branded to fit the Lewster image.
