Sharon Osbourne has proven in so many ways that she is not the kind of woman who gives up on what she wants. She has shown through her many successful endeavors that life offers you nothing unless you take it for yourself. Sharon Rachel Levy was born on October 9, 1952, in Brixton, London to music promoter and rock and roll entrepreneur Don Arden and his wife Hope Arden. Her parents were Jewish and as such, she became a practicing Jew. She is of Russian-Irish ancestry and has one sibling, a brother named David.
Sharon did not have a very rosy childhood as her father Don was a very violent person and did not spare his daughter one bit in his many feats of anger. To make a bad situation even worse, her mother Hope put up a pretty indifferent attitude to her husband’s alcoholism and abuse of their daughter.
She began her sojourn in entertainment by working with her father in his business as the owner and manager of Black Sabbath. After her marriage to , she took over his management and has not left the industry ever since. She succeeded in making Ozzy a household name and this opened the doors for her own management company which she named the Sharon Osbourne Management. Her company manages a host of other artists successfully.
By 2002, Sharon Osbourne gained celebrity status and successfully negotiated a deal with MTV that saw her family gain their own reality show titled The Osbourne’s. The show was successful and further brought the family to worldwide popularity as well as higher living standards considering how much they raked in from the show. The show also saw her managing her daughter Kelly and guiding her to success as an artist in her own right.
Leveraging on the fame she got from the family show, Sharon attempted her own – The Sharon Osbourne Show which only aired for one season from 2003 – 2004. But having been into music from her childhood days, she was invited to be a judge on the X-Factor show from 2004 to 2007 in which year she also became a judge on America’s Got Talent.
To diversify and better prove her worth, Sharon Osbourne did not stop at managing talents and being a reality TV star, she topped it off by authoring her own books which did just as well. She had a Lap-band surgery in 1999 which saw her drastically lose over 100 pounds. She underwent another surgery and survived the disease even though she had initially been told that chances of survival were slim. Soon after her recovery in 2004, she started the Sharon Osbourne Colon Cancer program.

Her Husband and Divorce
From as far back as when she was a teenager, Sharon Osbourne has only been associated with one man, and that would be her husband Ozzy Osbourne. The two met when she was 18 and was working with her father managing artists. At the time, Ozzy was the lead vocalist of the Black Sabbath band which her father Don was managing. When he was eventually put out of the group, she took over his management as a solo artist and the two began dating against her father’s wishes who really tried his best to keep them apart.
On 4 July 1982, the lovebirds got married in Maui, Hawaii and their union was blessed with three kids but was also plagued with a whole lot of ups and downs especially linked to drug abuse, alcohol, and violence. At some point, it was reported that Ozzy had made his wife into a punching bag and went as far as knocking out her front teeth. The drama between the two became a worry after Ozzy was arrested for attempted murder when he almost strangled her in one of his drunken haze. The act landed Ozzy in a rehabilitation center. Sharon once said on a show with The Talk Panellist that she had caught Ozzy in bed with two of their nannies.
After many years of endurance in their marriage, it came as a shock to many when the iconic duo announced that they were getting a divorce in 2016 after 33 years of being together. It was alleged that Sharon had caught Ozzy cheating again with their hairdresser and could not take it anymore. However, a few months later, she announced their reconciliation on ‘The Talk’ show. They announced their divorce on May 18, 2018. Jack suffers from Relapsing-remitting multiple Sclerosis which was diagnosed in June 2012, however, he takes doses of Copaxone daily to keep it in check.
