Anyone who knows “Uncle Si” almost always pictures him in his camouflage, holding either a shotgun, a bible, or both. Si Robertson is a retired American soldier, preacher, and television personality. He is also a total outdoorsman who undoubtedly enjoys hunting perhaps a little bit too much.

He used to work at his brother’s company, Duck Commander as a duck-call maker. Undoubtedly, much of his fame comes from his role in his family’s reality television series Duck Dynasty that airs on A&E. Uncle Si has also been on other reality shows which are mostly spin-offs of Duck Commander. He appeared as a guest on Tim Allen’s sitcom Last Man Standing.

Si Robertson Bio – Age

Si Robertson was born on April 27, 1948, in Vivian, a town located in Caddo Parish, Louisiana. For his high school education, Si studied at Caddo High School. He idolized his elder brother Phil during this time and this led him to follow in his athletic footsteps, playing football for his high school’s team. He also donned the No. 10 jersey that Phil had worn when he played for the team.

Following graduation from Caddo High, Si Robertson proceeded to continue his studies at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana. However, he would only stay there for three quarters. During the Vietnam War, Si was drafted into the U.S. Army and had to drop out of school. He made it to the rank of Sergeant First Class (E-7) before retiring in 1993. Si even has an exhibit in his honour on display at the Chennault Aviation and Military Museum located in Monroe, in his home state of Louisiana.

While he was serving in the army, his brother Phil started a company that was in the business of making duck-calls. After Si came back home from the army in 1993, his brother brought him on board to help grow the business. His job was to make the reeds which were a component of the duck calls. He has often been portrayed in Duck Dynasty as being lax in his responsibilities for the business.

Some would say that Si Robertson is to Duck Dynasty what is to Keeping Up with the Kardashians. He is undoubtedly the star of the show and this is mostly due to his excellently humorous disposition and spontaneity.

In the series finale of the Duck Dynasty show, Si mentioned that he intended to start a band. He started the band after the show came to an end in March 2017 and called it Uncle Si and The Sicotics. The army veteran has also appeared on a good number of television shows including Good Morning America. His reality series portfolio also includes Duck Commander, The Duckmen of Lousiana and his self-titled show Going Si-Ral. Si has also done some voicing/narration for the children’s animated series VeggieTales.

In 2013, Si released his book Si-cology: Tales and Wisdom from Duck Dynasty’s Favorite Uncle. The book details his struggles with alcoholism, mental illness, and even suicide especially during his time with the army.

Si and his entire family are widely known for their Christian faith; the man takes every chance he gets to express his religious beliefs. Whenever he signs an autograph, he always writes down his favourite bible verse John 3:16 and 17. According to the ex-soldier, it is a way of reminding people that God loves everyone and that no one is ever beyond redemption.

Net Worth, How Rich Is He?

Uncle Si’s piggy bank has definitely been boosted by his star appearances in the popular Duck Dynasty reality series and its subsequent spin-offs. He has also been involved in a few movies such as 2015’s Faith of Our Fathers. The army veteran also makes a steady income from his work at the multi-million dollar Duck Commander enterprise. His net worth is estimated to be between $6 and $8 million.
