Suzy Shuster Biography

Suzy Shuster is a popular American reporter, sports broadcaster, anchor and On-Air personality. She was born in the U.S and was raised in Columbia, where she attended high school. Suzy also went to college there as well. She studied at Columbia University and in 1994, she graduated from the university with a degree in History and History Art. Unfortunately, she has kept information about her childhood, parents, and sibling far from the media.

After she graduated from Columbia University, Suzy began to work at CBS as an intern sports broadcaster, broadcasting the 1994 Final Four Broadcast. It was the start of a successful career so far for her.

Suzy Shuster covered her first non-sporting event at the 1996 presidential election race. As at then, she was working for Fox News, and she was nominated to cover the presidential election along with the popular Emily Rooney.

After the election, Shuster joined America’s top sports news network ESPN. At ESPN, she worked as an associate producer and produced ESPN’s SportsCenter show. She moved on from ESPN and went to work at HBO network, where she was the producer of Real Sports show, which was anchored by Bryant Gumbel. At HBO, she produced some top stories, one of which was the voting scandal of the Olympic Committee in Salt Lake City. From 2000 to 2002, she was the lead reporter for Fox Sports that covered the LA Lakers in their years as NBA Champions.

It’s no longer news that Shuster is married to her sports journalist colleague, Rich Eisen. The couple first met on February 3, 1997, where Eisen was already working at ESPN and Shuster was starting to work as an associate producer. Eisen saw Shuster at work and approached her, got her number and they instantly became friends. They maintained a casual relationship as friends for a while and soon began dating.

In 2002, Eisen felt he wanted more than just dating, he decided he would like to spend the rest of his life with Shuster and decided to ask for her hand in marriage. On Valentine’s day in 2002, Eisen proposes to Shuster and she said “yes”.

A year later, on June 8, 2003, they had a lavish wedding ceremony in LA. The couple has been together since then, and even though their marriage went through a rough patch in 2007, following Eisen’s cheating allegations with Alycia Lane, the couple has overcome trials and has maintained a strong relationship ever since. Suzy Shuster’s family is blessed with three kids namely, their daughter Taylor and their two sons, Cooper and Xander.

Eisen earned his BA from the University of Michigan and later he went on to obtain a master of science degree from Northwestern University. He has worked for various prominent sport TV networks such as CBS Sports, ESPN, NBC Sports, DirectTV and NFL Network. On the radio platform, he has worked with Fox Sports Radio, DirectTV, NFL Now and Sirius Radio.
