Adrienne Elrod’s Early Life and Career Beginnings

Elrod is a native of Siloam Springs, Arkansas and was born on 20 June 1976. She studied at the Siloam Springs High School, Arkansas from 1990 to 1994 and bagged a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas in 1998. She initially wanted to study law but due to her love for politics, she opted for journalism instead.

After her graduation from the Texas Christian University, she worked as a White House Executive Assistant from 1998 to 2000. From October 2003  to May 2005, she worked as Mike Ross, a U.S. Congressman’s Communications Director. Within this period, Adrienne Elrod took a leave of absence to enable her work as the campaign manager for Nick Lampson, another congressman at the time who was seeking re-election.

The following year, she joined the Democrat’s Congressional Campaign Committee as the regional press secretary. Under the leadership of Rahm Emanuel, she worked with several candidates across the country, ultimately resulting in a Democratic takeover of the House in 2007. After spending a year and eight months as the committee’s Press Secretary, she became the Deputy Chief of Staff for yet another Congress member. She spent a whole year in this position which was effected from January to December of the year 2007.

Adrienne Elrod also served as the Chief of Staff to California Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez, leading the legislative and communications agenda for a senior California member of Congress. Before taking on this position, she had served as a campaign aide to the Hillary Clinton for President Campaign, holding several positions, including regional press secretary, Deputy Director of the Congressional Delegate Selection office, and Texas Communications Director.

Her active participation in all of these roles paved ways for her. So that she was given the opportunity to work for Hillary Clinton during the 2016 Presidential Campaign, serving as her spokesperson. Adrienne Elrod has also gotten involved with other media outlets like CNN, BBC, etc. She is also the founder of Elrod Strategies, a communications firm which she currently heads.

Husband & Family

Although her mother’s name remains unknown, her dad is Jon Elrod. Both of her parents are said to be Attorneys, who worked closely with Bill and Hillary Clinton in their days.

Little wonder she wanted to also follow in her parents’ footsteps but her love for politics wouldn’t let her. While growing up, her parents had a lot of politician friends and this early encounters with these set of people must have triggered her love and passion for politics.

About her personal relationship, not much is known as she chooses not to talk about it thus, keeping everyone in the dark. As a result of her silence on the issue, the media believes she is still single and currently resides in Washington D.C.
