Thorgan Hazard’s Bio, Age, Family
Hazard was born on March 29, 1993, in La Louvière. He is Kylian Hazard’s older brother and Eden Hazard’s younger brother. His birthplace is the United Kingdom. Hazard was raised in Braine-le-Comte, a small village in Wallonia. Thorgal, his first name, was inspired by the Belgian comic strip Thorgal, which he read as a child growing up in a football-crazed household.
His mother, Carine, and father, Thierry, were both league-playing Belgian professional footballers. Before retiring, his father played semi-professional football for Louviéroise in Belgium’s Second Division. He was mostly used as a defensive midfielder. His mother was a striker in the Belgian Women’s First Division when he was three months old, but she had to quit when he became pregnant with his older brother Eden. Both parents went on to become physical education teachers after finishing their football careers. To spend more time with his children, Thierry decided to leave his job in 2009.
Hazard has three other brothers and sisters besides himself. Eden, his older brother, used to play for Lens’ main rivals, Lille and is now a member of Real Madrid’s first team in Spain. Hazard has two younger brothers, both of whom are athletes: Kylian and Ethan. Kylian, who is originally from Belgium, began his career with White Star Bruxelles in 2013, before joining Chelsea’s development academy on August 29, 2017. In contrast, he is currently playing for Cercle Brugge. Ethan is a student at Tubize’s young academy, Eden’s previous club. Hazard and his three siblings were raised in a stable environment, with their parents making sure they had everything they needed to succeed. The family lived “no more than three meters” from a football practice field, and the boys would frequently enter the practice field through a small hole to train and hone their football skills.
