His country of birth indicates that he is of American nationality, but his ethnicity is a mixture of Italian and American ancestry. As a devout Catholic, Tony leans towards the spiritual and harbors the belief that faith is of an essence to his life. He is not averse to going public with his faith in God, every Ash Wednesday, he comes on air on ESPN complete with ash on his forehead. Tony’s formative years were spent in Marlboro, New Jersey, where he achieved his early education from Christian Brothers Academy located in Lincroft.
