She was said to have sustained the injury in a freak accident which required a longer time to heal. After one year of being away on medical leave, Bolton returned to Fox News, her absence was really felt as it left many of her fans wondering how a journalist of her calibre can just disappear from media eye. She had other anchors standing in for her while she was away.

The talented anchor disclosed in an interview at Fox Business saying that she didn’t suffer from any illness but had to stay off-air because of an injury, she sustained while playing baseball with her family and that she is happy to be back after being away for a long time.
