She rose to immense popularity in the year 2003 after she brilliantly reprised her role in the aforementioned movie in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation 2: Cousin Eddie’s Island Adventure, which aired on NBC Television. From the year 1980 when she launched her acting career to 2013 when she was last seen within the showbiz circle, Barron was nothing short of a super actress. In 1989, she received a Daytime Emmy Award for her superlative role in the special show, No Means No.

A mother of one, she shares a son called Taylor Vickerman with her longterm boyfriend Michael Vickerman. Taylor’s dad is a screenwriter and producer best known for the following works – Famous (1994), Impact (2009), and Tut (2015). As regards her body measurements, Barron stands at a height of 5 feet 3 inches and weighs 53 kilograms. Dana Barron was born into a family of entertainers on the 22nd day of April 1966, in New York City, New York, in the U.S. The actress is an American by nationality and belongs to a mixed racial background. She is of Scottish, English, and Jewish ancestry. Her mom, Joyce McCord, is a stage actress while her dad, Robert Weeks Barron, is a Congregationalist church pastor as well as a director of commercials. Robert was also the founder of The Weist-Barron School of Television, which is remarkably the first commercial and soap opera acting TV school to be established in the whole world.

A fifth-generation entertainer, the actress’s grandfather was an opera singer while her paternal grandmother Marion Weeks was the first performer to sing in talkies. Barron has a sister called Allison. She is a talented actress as well. Like her sister, she did quite a number of commercials in her young age and has since starred in many television series and films.

The Emmy award-winning actress studied at the Hunter School for eight years after which she enrolled at New York University’s Stern School of Business, where she majored in Business Marketing and graduated with distinction. Dana also holds an Associate degree/certification in Early Childhood Education which she received from Santa Monica College in the year 2005. Besides acting, Barron is into charity as well. She has worked as a teacher for the Los Angeles-based non-profit organization, United in Harmony. She participated as a volunteer for the organization for 19 years. The actress is also a founding member of Children Uniting Nations, a Los Angeles-based proactive non-profit organization that arranges mentoring programmes for foster children. To her credit, Dana has served as a part-time teacher at the Natural History Museum as well as the New York City Zoo.

Over the years, several reports have emerged claiming that the Mayfly actress is dead but they all turned out to be false. More so, Dana has never been on the headlines for any health-related issue neither has any credible news site confirmed her death story in any way, which makes her fans believe she is still going strong.

The New York City-born actress was last seen within the movie industry in the year 2013 when she played the fictional character Doria in the widely acclaimed television series Snow Bride.
